Ourdom? It's not Mirror's Edge (but then again, what is?), but a pretty solid effort. Probably even my favourite non-soundtrack of his. All of his older albums had stand-out tracks for sure, but Ourdom works best as a whole.
talking about solar fields, you should totally check out Tales Of Us' album called Endless; it has something similar in the style, and it's a great record. I love the track called "Venatori" and "Destino"! It's also very ambient-ish btw
Yep — it's been my labour of love for the past 2 years; probably ever since I neglected LeadSingle in favour of it. The good news is that it's ready for soft launch preeeeetty soon, so hopefully within the next couple of months, I'll poke you to see if you're willing to participate in some kind of beta situation ;) I hope you're doing well, by the way!
Hey, that's great! I'm happy you like Lisa Morgenstern and to see you've been enjoying her. I just knew it was something that Soap&Skin fans would really appreciate. Since I discovered Anja, I have been searching for other dark balladeers, but with most I have found it to be style over substance. Lisa's music is already achingly beautiful and I think it will only get better and better with time.
Haha, you're the third person who told me about it :D Yes, I've heard the news and to be honest, I'm really surprised! I guess nobody expected that Jack Wall won't be scoring ME3 and instead, Clint Mansell will. This might be REALLY interesting. The worst part is, that ME3 will be released somewhere between November 2011 and January 2012 so it's a long time to wait.
For me "Black Swan" was "just" very good (in my opinion Aronofsky's best movie is "The Fountain"), but fortunately the music turned out to fit it perfectly. But I'm surprised that there's someone (besides me) disappointed with "Inception" - after "The Dark Knight" I was expecting so much from Nolan's next movie that I guess it was impossible to satisfy me ;) And while it's not a bad movie I think it's overrated.
I totally understand you. Not many guys are into this (not manly enough) kind of movies, but I say "f#ck stereotypes - I loved it!" :) If you have more of these hunches, feel free to recommend! Watching it I remembered another movie which I was expecting to be mediocre (it's a TV movie) and turned out to be one of the best and saddest I've seen: "Prayers for Bobby". Although I'm afraid you might not like the subject and thus the movie itself. Yet if you like Sigourney Weaver I think it's worth watching for her performance alone, since it's one of her best.
Like I promised I've watched "Bridge to Terabithia" and this movie is simply amazing! I was expecting something completely different - more like a typical shallow Disney teenage movie and what I got was a deep and heartbreaking story (I'll be honest - it almost made my cry). Wow, that was a surprise! It went up straight to my favorite movies. I definitely have to get the soundtrack (I loved the piano parts). Thank you very much for the recommendation!
I think that most people are disappointed with "Black Swan". Its best parts are those, where he uses Tchaikovsky's music, but rest of the album is not even near "The Fountain" or "Moon". But just like you I'm hoping it will do good in the movie (which I can't wait to see, since I love Aronofsky). And as you probably already noticed, I'm a huge fan of Mass Effect so all I can say is: get it, play it, you won't be disappointed :D BTW: Is it "TRON: Evolution" you've been listening to few minutes ago? I thought there's no soundtrack for it (except the game rip).
You're absolutely right - one of the best scores of 2010 (another score I've been waiting for was Mansell's "Black Swan" but this one I find very disappointing. It's a shame, Mansell can do so much better.) And how did you like "Mass Effect"? To be honest, if you haven't played the game, I'll be surprised if you say you liked it ;) It's one of these albums, that is great connected with the game, but is not so interesting as a standalone album.
Kommt es mir nur so vor oder werden so ziemlich ALLE Websites in der letzten Zeit redesignt?
Naja, deviantArt = Top, Last.fm = Flop.
Naja... Was meinst du?
