yeah, the voice grates a bit too, and that can be so make-or-break for me. sucks because otherwise i would be totally into it. very fennesz-y. you HAVE to listen to sunny day in glasgow. i've not even had their albums for a year but their latest, ashes grammar, is already one of my favorites ever. it's the future of dream pop. mahogany is also really good, but i only have one album so far, connectivity!, and apparently it's the weakest, so i'm looking forward to getting the others. the new twin sister EP, color your life, is excellent. and according to your library you've never listened to cocteau twins but i really hope you've at least heard them somewhere because they are the quintessential dream pop band. and the twilight sad are sort of in that vein but a little shoegazier, especially their most recent record, forget the night ahead. can't really get into the khonnor album. his lyrics are just too much. i mean, they sound like the poetry i was writing at 17 as well, so it's understandable.

Where did you find the image for Coloric? Any idea where I could find the artwork for the album? And your thoughts on the album?

your tales of a new califone album, if true, will lead to celebrations, the likes of which have been unseen and unheard by human eyes or human ears.

The new King Creosote is pretty good. he's never put out a bad album, IMO. His best album is "Kenny and Beth's Musakal Boat Rides", so you can start with that one.

Luc, sir; The new Dm Stith is good. However, the production on some songs are overblown and that may be the Sufjan touch. some parts sounded like a less melodic, darker Grizzly Bear. It's also missing a magical moment to propel it to a very good record.

your charts need some kate bush. also, i don't know how you know shannon, but apparently you do, since she's right below me here.

Hey, I hope all is well. You miss you in the folk thread and just talking about music in general. I hope you had a good summer as the grueling days of winter approach. Take care.

How is that Bodies of water album? I was listening to their myspace and wasn't too impressed.

Something told me you would be on top of the new tallest man on earth, vetiver, wolf parade, and port o'brien albums. I must say that you have not disappointed, lad. I am just perusing zoomer, now. I have interest in the aforementioned but was awaiting ringing endorsement from the cognoscenti. Are you approaching your final days in the portion of the American West know as mid or what?

Honestly, it's a complete bore. Z was decent for it was but this one just put me to sleep. At Dawn will always be their best album. BTW, we are super yah!

It was inevitable. If, you ever come to Toronto, be sure to let me know, I'll be glad to take you to a few shows. I'm glad you're giving the Turner Cody record more listens.
