dunno if it made it better, but I was accustomed with not having slept and it was awesome. I actually stayed awake with MBV ringing in my ears for five hours after getting home. I did indeed go with Pavement, the gig was a hit parade. very good.

Sigur Rós played the Øya festival in 2008 but i was in the U.S.. I got home the next day and saw MBV with like 40 hours straight of no sleep. was cash. when Jónsi played Øya this summer he played at the same time as Pavement.. suxx.

yeah, with Sigur Rós I'm thinking it almost adds something to the music which would be spoiled if I understood it. 1000 years ago Icelandic and Norwegian was exactly the same, of course, and some phrases like "góðan daginn = god dag" are quite alike but I still don't understand squat of the lyrics. Dungen is dec. 2, and I'm going after all! my girlfriend's been getting into them, so I won't have to go alone. good stuff.

rad, what were they like live? they're doing a gig in Oslo dec. 3, and I wanna go, but my go-to-gigs-wif-pal is having surgery the day before lol. gonna need to sedate myself to enjoy that thoroughly if I do go alone. "Ta det lugnt" and "4" are their best ones I think. just to brag a little bit, being Norwegian is a plus in that I understand the lyrics, but as with all music it's far from being a must of course. which city did you see them in?

A new Spiritualized album in the coming, isn't that just awesome? I got a fan of Spiritualized last year or this year and damn I'm so psyched about the idea that a new album is on its way.
