Sorry for the late reply, been travelling for the last couple of weeks. I'm definitely going to try to make it to the WEG show at Super Deluxe. Interperative dance and WEG... sounds like it should be interesting and a little surreal! I've never listened to Rei Harakami before, but must be good if you're going to see instead of WEG! I'll check it out...

Wow, that is a really nice website! Really brings out the feeling of the music. I've only seen WEG once, but it was really amazing. The albums are good, but seeing it live just makes it much more emotive and touching. The Noble record label is great! I love Kashiwa Daisuke and Yasushi Yoshida too.

yes i did! In fact they (KoC) offered two shows there on the same day rather than two dates due an Erlend's stomachache, perhaps too much mexican food. So you are attending Radiohead at Tokyo! wow, that ATP does look good. I'm not sure an American countryclub can quite match the feel of a Butlins though! Did you get a chance to go to a Butlins while you were in the UK? Really cheesy family holiday parks. I remember going when I was really young! London is a great place for music. Even most American bands tour all the time up and down the UK, so it really is one of the best places in the world. Places like Montreal and Chicago are awesome for creating good post rock bands, but I still think the UK is the best for going to gigs! I'll miss Tokyo for other reasons though, mostly the food and people! What am I going to do when there's not a 24 hour Origin Bento across the street?! :-(

Yea, unfortunately I'm leaving Japan for good. Very sad! It's a really great country, but i'm only here on a one year visa! Anyway, at least I've got lots of nice gigs lined up in London to ease myself back into UK life :-). I really want to go to a full ATP festival sometime too. The one that EITS curated this(or last?) year had such an amazing line up, would have loved to go to that one. Did you ever watch Heima, the SR DVD? It's really really really awesome, I highly recommend it!

First Japanese SR website? :o nice! I've only seem them twice, once at the Apollo and once at a festival in Belgium. However, I've already got tickets for them in London in October! Should be good. Although, I do prefer their older stuff (especially () ) instead of their new album. The new album's not bad, but just not as amazing as the old ones. Have you listened to it?

yea, the indian restaurants in Japan just aren't quite the same as curry mile, eh? Actually, I was at the Mogwai and Sigur Ros gig. Sigur Ros at the Apollo is one of my all time favourite gigs, they were amazing. But then again, I am a SR fanatic, so maybe it's not so surprising :p. Mogwai were good too, although I stood too close to the speakers and couldn't hear properly for days afterwards! By the way, what do you think of Silver Mt Zion's new album?

I am feeling better now, thanks! That is a coincidence! I did my undergrad at Manchester uni too, lived in sunny Rusholme most of my time there. What did you study? I didn't see Mogwai on their Happy People tour, only the Mr. Beast tour when they were in Academy 1. I hated that place! Reminded me of exams... Apparently now it's been refurbished, but I haven't been back to Manchester to see it. One day! Academy 2 was ok, but always got way too hot during gigs. Academy 3 is of course the best! My best academy 3 gigs were probably Battles and 65daysofstatic...

yea, I really wanted to see Retail Sectors and Hologram, their albums are really good. Well, maybe next time! I saw WEG a couple of months ago, it was such a good concert. The atmosphere they create is really amazing! So different from just listening to the album... There are so many great concerts in Tokyo, I just wish they weren't so expensive!
