I forgot to mention something. There’s a duo from my country that I absolutely love. Honestly I think it’s one of the best Brazilian albums made in recent years. We’ve been struggling with music production lately, and we also grew up consuming mostly American or English music. Brazilian music has been feeling more and more superficial to me, I’ve been missing depth, and I finally found that depth with them. The duo is called YOÙN and the album is BXD IN JAZZ. I know that’s a lot of recommendations haha. Just listen to whatever resonates with you. And there’s no rush at all to reply :)

Rasburry! Espero que esteja bem ! First of all I’m sorry it took me so long to reply. I’ve been feeling kind of low lately, dealing with anemia and some mental health stuff, but I’m much better now. Honestly taking my meds and vitamins really changes you. We were talking about Yves right? She helped me a lot while I was processing everything with NJZ, and that helped too. After getting my anxiety more under control I started listening to full albums again without skipping tracks, which is something I’ve always loved doing. Do you know AIR? I discovered them when I was 16 or 17 through Playground Love and I completely fell in love. I started listening to them again and wow… it’s been like therapy. The textures, the atmosphere, the bass, the voices, all the instruments just take me somewhere else. It’s been really healing.

I’ve been exploring a lot of French downtempo, pop and trip hop again, which I adore. I also started listening to NewJeans again and I treat it like something sacred. I listen to the full albums and just sit with my emotions. Sometimes I feel like crying, but lately I’ve been smiling instead because they are part of some of my most precious memories. If you already like AIR you should definitely revisit them. Talkie Walkie is incredible. I love all their albums though. Besides AIR here are some things I’ve been listening to a lot lately: Italian trip hop, ambient stuff… Global Communication 76:14, Men I Trust Untourable Album, The Dining Rooms Numero Deux. And if you have any recommendations from any genre send them my way. I really love listening to full albums from start to finish. Um abraço <3

Oi rasburry! It’s so nostalgic to get a message on Last.fm. Back then, the network of friends we built here was really special. Ive never listened to iiso before, but I’ll start now with the two tracks you recommended. I’ll also listen to the albums track by track , that really calms me. It’s been a while since I last received a recommendation, so thank you for that. It’s been hard to fill the NJZ-shaped void…. Im very emotionally connected to them, and now they feel like a part of me. It’s been painful, but I’m trying. Yves has been filling that space a little for me, especially with “Ex Machina” have you heard it? It talks a lot about surviving sad events and offers a deeper reflection on relationships. Thanks for the rec!!, and I’ll come back later to tell you what I think about iiso 🤍
