I've downloaded and listened to the three first albums by Art Zoyd and now I'm thinking if I should listen to the following albums? What do you think about it? Which album of them is your favorite?

I was part of a series on the site I used to write, a series called The Best of All Time, and every month we chose the best album of each year since 1963. We were entering the 80s, but I left them. Anyway I'm listening to 80s music as well. hehe I listened to Art Zoyd to the years of 76, 79 and 80, but they didn't enter in my lists (actually I didn't take part of the list of 1980). But it's a very good band. I'm loving Eskaton too.

Coincidently, now I'm listening to many things from the 80s, either pop or experimental music. Things like Pet Shop Boys, Ultravox, Nash the Slash, Prince, Grace Jones, but also Eskaton, Dün. As you can see, the experimental part is very small yet. hehe That's why I asked you for recommendations, specially french stuff. I'll listen again to Present and I'll explore the 80s albums by Etron Fou Leloublan and Univers Zéro, anyway.

Yeah, I want to list the best 80's albums, of any genres and countries. I like the 90's! Not so much, but much more than the 80's. Grunge is not that bad, and there are the electronics... The brazilian music from the 90's is VERY good!

I'm almost like what you said, but I listen to things I KNOW I'm not gonna like them, only for to know them. And there are strange things that happen. Two examples: salsa and frevo. These were two genres I hated in my youth (but I'm still young very haha), and today I just LOVE them! I don't know why, it only happened! But people call me close-minded anyway, because ALMOST EVERYONE likes heavy metal or thing like Ramones, and I don't like them too much.. I'm a dinosaur locked in a prog-cave in 1978, as they say. hahaha

Yes, there's a track with problem, and I don't know how to get it completely good. This independent album is very rare. Maybe not even the members own it!

I'll check this one. I'm still trying to find out which song by Arrigo is the one I knew many years ago and I like. If you want to hear brazillian music, I got to recommend Chico Science & Nação Zumbi, the "best creators" of Mangue Beat (or Mangue Bit), which is a combination of northeastern brazillian music - such as those used by Hermeto -, specially the rhythm called "maracatu", very afro, with hip-hop, funk, heavy metal, electronics, and many other things, such as makossa of Manu Dibango. They make references to many acts, like Mutantes in the beginning of the song "Macô" and Kraftwerk in the end of "Antene-Se" (they sampled the song "Antenna"). Mangue Bit raised the best things in the later brazillian music. There's one I like too much in particular, a band that got no great success and finished very soon, but they recorded an independent album. Hermeto Pascoal uses jazz and fusion in his music, but he is a deep brazilian music composer and performer. Isn't there any russian artist that's very russian and at the same time might interest me?

I don't know Patrick Gauthier, and I haven't listened to that album by Hermeto, except for 3 songs (Viagem, Intocável and Quiabo). Viagem and Quiabo are certainly zeuhl-ish, but Quiabo is such a traditional "choro", great brazilian popular style. There are very few reviews and ratings for HP on progarchives. I'll have to listen hard to his discography to change this.

BTW now I've got some albums by Hermeto Pascoal and then I know some songs by their names. You have to listen - if not yet - to "Quiabo" and SPECIALLY to "Série de Arco". Very very very good! These two ones and "Viagem" are maybe my favourites of him.

I've tried magma years ago and didn't like it, but i accidentally found an article about them few days ago and decided to try it again... it was a stunning experience. I haven't felt like this for a very long time. i don't know how could i be so "deaf" before. I will most surely ask You for more zeuhl in time. \\ i always enjoyed Paternoster because of the lyrics, but i'ts not what are You looking for. From krautrock it's closer to space rock than jazz rock and i haven't been in it for some time. Try random Embryo albums, Lard Free, Osmose - Annexus Quam, and more Can albums - every is different. I will give You more names if You want, but fist i have to fix my hdd.

Try also Gatto marte - Danae. All gatto marte cd's are pretty good, but not for everyone; i like it for the moods mostly, funny, ironic... in 2012 they gonna release a cd with something similar to Danae. About vocals - in quiet sun they are really fucked, beatles like. In general vocals are ok for me in most cases, although i prefer not to understand words and feel vocal as an additional instrument. Do You know Factor Burzaco ? You should listen to the second album especially. Let me know if something from my previous recommendations satisfies You. I'm already downloading Horizont. Btw, Have You heard Profondita ? They say it's a progenitor of pink floyd, and pf is no more than plagiat.

Simon is indeed a great composer. His Phantom Of The Theatre is very good. I asked for mostly chamber crossed music because i was in the mood for it few days ago. Bise de Buse was really satisfying. About recommendations - mines might be useless... i listen to lot of crap just for a few moments or melodies. Also i'm kind of into this italian kitsch manner. However i will give a shot. For electronic music try Klaus Schulze - dziekuje poland. I don't like typical electronic music - this is an exception - give it a try. Ashra - New age of earth. For regular Belgian chamber progressive try DAAU and Fukkeduk. I found jazzy prog Quiet Sun (uk) to be pretty enjoying lately, but they put "Canterbury vocals" into last tracks - its' really disappointing, destroys all the mood they created at begin. Little Tragedies is good (ru) prog (sounds complex at first). Pochakaite Malko - laya. Autunna Et Sa Rose. And my very best recommendation Bobby Beausoleil - Lucifer Rising (OST)
