What about Folk Metal? Eluveitie is a celtic folk metal band who has an awesome acoustic CD out called 'Evocation I - The Arcane Dominion.' I believe you can stream the whole thing online somewhere...

Folk rec: Abigail Washburn. She's a mother artist making folk that sounds straight out of the Anthology of American Folk Music - except sometimes, with Chinese traditional music influences.

A large bunch of recommendations: sludge: [artist]His Hero Is Gone[/artist], [artist]Akimbo[/artist] and most definitely [artist]Boris[/artist]'s collaboration with Sunn O))) and collaborations with Merzbow. And more stoner/doom, [artist]Electric Wizzard[/artist] and [artist]Sleep[/artist]. Since you like Earth, you'll probably enjoy Sunn O)))'s own work too (the band was formed as a tribute to Earth). ------- For jazz, judging from the tags on the items you linked, [artist]ornette coleman[/artist], [artist]John Zorn[/artist] and his [artist]Naked City[/artist] (jazz/grindcore oriented) project. You should check Herzog's Aguirre, with Kinski again (no music at all I might add!). Nosferatu, with Kinski and Adjani is also one of the best films of its genre.

I think I'm going to take a stab at giving you a recommendation here. How about [artist]Ghost[/artist]? There's a bunch of bands with the same name (no points for originality there I guess), but they're the Japanese psych/prog rock group.
