STADTINSEL
Hey, nice music taste. I'm a big Beatles fan. And now i have a Best of album from Radiohead. I'm begin to listen the band. I like "Karma Police" and "Creep". Wonderful songs.

Yeah, we can hang out afterwards. Maybe go to Launchpad or something. Don't know who's playing. Email me at srome82@gmail.com when you get a chance and I'll send you my phone number. Do you text? I'm curious how many people are going to be there. Maybe it would be a good idea to get there early if it's a small place.

I don't know what time I'll be getting there. 7:30 is way too early, though. The first band doesn't play until 8:30, I believe. I probably won't get there until 10:00 or so. I'll probably roll by early to check the scene out, but it probably won't get hopping until later. Do you want to hang out before the show? There's a lot of cool places around the area.

It's happening in a suite? That seems kind of small. I wonder how many peeps are going to be showing up. I'd think a band like No Age could draw a pretty big crowd at a place like Launchpad. I wonder how crowded it's going to be in a small suite. I hope it's not a dentists office -- actually, that would probably be pretty cool. Have you bought Animal Collective tickets yet? I bought two a couple weeks ago, but people are wanting to buy them on Craigslist. I don't think they're sold out yet.

That's some mighty praise for the new Grizzly Bear. MPP to me is one of the best albums I've ever heard. I've always liked AC, but always felt their albums had a bit of filler. This is the first album of theirs that doesn't have a bad song. I'm dying to hear the new Grizzly Bear, but ever since I got a really nice pair of headphones, I need to hear everything in the highest quality possible. Have you seen Pitchforks new layout? I don't know if I like it yet. It's going to take some getting used to.

A friend of mine yesterday told me that she has something to do with organising this. She said it is in a old church on Coal and 12th and to get there before 830 because there's no real order to anything! And were you at Burt's last night? If not there is someone around town who looks awfully like your picture!

Also, I see you're listening to the new Grizzly Bear? How is it? I'm not going to listen to it until a better quality rip comes out because I've been waiting for this album for a couple years and want to hear it at the best quality possible because I'm a snob. People are saying it's better than MPP -- are they crazy?

Gah, it was INCREDIBLE!!! I could practically smell him. haha. Not that that's creepy sounding or anything. That sucks that you had to be on the balcony, but it's good that you got to go! Ooooh 2 weeks away? We're close! When's your birthday?

i know what you mean, a sold out show is hard to come by and the fact that it was for Andrew Bird was surprising.

oh yea, it was incredible. his stage presence is ridiculous and the way he would sing/whistle in harmony with his instruments was very cool.

Not a bad lineup. I would have loved to see Coachella last year. Portishead and Prince covering Radiohead? Yes, please. That's cool that you're a J Dilla fan. Did you enjoy Los Angeles from Flying Lotus last year? It was one of my favorites of the year. Do you buy CD's? I recently had a huge hard drive crash, so I'm thinking about starting to buy CD's again. Where do you get your music?

Yeah, the scene here is garbage. It's almost insulting. We get some good smaller acts, but nothing big. It'd be nice to get a festival. Like a real one. Not one filled with meathead bands with meathead fans. I doubt anyone would go. Who would you want on your dream New Mexico Music Festival?

I have some older friends that believe there is a rich and diverse music scene here and refuse to hear anything to the contrary. One of them is in a bluegrass band though and i suppose it's good for that here. But I'm getting tired of the quarter-year gaps between a good band playing here. Back where I'm from you'd have to make a decisions on who you could afford to see as there'd be so much on all the time. But music is like one of my only real interests so spending money on shows is quite okay! You're not looking forward to the Cattle Decapitation and Vale of Miscreation show at the Launchpad then? Haha. I am.

Yup, they came here, I think either right before Strawberry Jam or the winter before. I don't remember why I didn't go, but I'm kicking myself for missing them. I enjoy Strawberry Jam, but Feels always had a soft spot for me since that's the first thing I had heard from them. Fireworks off of SJ is probably my favorite song of theirs. It's great. I wish we got more shows here. Santa Fe seems to be getting alot of good shows. Meow Wolf and Warehouse 21 get more than Launchpad does, it seems. Also, you're the first person I've ever seen on here who's musical compatibility with me is Super. Awesome. Most I've ever gotten was HIGH. I thought it was because I listened to too much obscure stuff. haha. .

Hi new friend. I'll be seeing Andrew Bird at El Rey, too. I kind of find his new album boring, though. Oh, well, he's such a great musician and has such a great voice that anything he does has merit. What do you think of the new Animal Collective? I really enjoy it. It's my favorite of theirs replacing Feels. Hopefully they come around this summer. I missed them the last time they came :o(. Did you see them? I think they played at Launchpad in early 08.
