Just checking out Howling Bells for the first time, in fact, since they'll be opening the Coldplay show I'm going to in June. So far I'm enjoying what I hear. Needs more Aussie accent though! Hah. Empire of the Sun is good fun in the vein of Cut Copy or (the admittedly less Australian) MGMT. No worries, i'm seeing them on the fifth in blackpool in England, I already saw them in the summer this year with the brass band and amina and you're right there was definetaly a happier atmosphere to the first time i saw them a couple of years ago. I'm just aprehensive as to wether they will live up to my expectations without the strings. Ah well i guess i'll just have to wait and see, i doubt they will let me down.
