I'm psyched for the new PJ as well. I bought her book the other day, and it's pretty awesome. Can't believe she's still so innovative and relevant after SO many years.

Ok man, I checked various Mary Timony stuff. I have to say it's not that easy to get into her bands/solo stuff. Her first band (?) Autocalve was a bit hard and tiring to listen to, although the album is very short and I love short albums, the music was not bad, but I expected something different. The first Helium stuff is so much more my type of sound, so that was pretty cool. I'm going to check the whole Helium discography little by little and I also checked the first Mary solo album (am still lsitening to it) and I like this one too. Probably the best so far. "The Hour Glass" reminds me of the Raincoats.

Damn boy/girl, that's not that kind of answer that I expected, thanks a lot! I know Mary Timony and her band Helium, haven't really listened to all those albums though, good that you remind me of her with this shout, plus I had no idea she has so many bands/projects. Regarding Chumbawamba I only know two or three "radio hits" they had, never liked those, but I guess they must have some good music just because of their attitude and history. You really gave me some homework now... Yep this John Waters thing is almost true, now you mentioned Cry Baby and I got this one on dvd, so of course I know one, haha.. I don't really like to watch movies on the internet, so checking out recommended movies always takes a long time, but at least I know what to look for then. Ah and to show how much of a "hep cat" I am (I even have 2 blogs, lol), because this: http://crackityjones77.tumblr.com/ is my "constant" tumblr, I try to blog more on the other one from time to time, but never really works. Enjoy!

Aye, I'm loving The Raincoats, hadn't heard much from them before but thanks, they're awesome. Pretty unique, the violin is a really cool addition in their music too. Thanks for giving me some new stuff to check out, I appreciate it. I'm already into Broadcast and Dead Can Dance. Within The Realm of a Dying Sun is probably my favourite of theirs.

I haven't seen/heard much of Frusciante for awhile now it seems like. I know he struggled with drug addictions in the past but that amps up his ruggedness as far as I'm concerned. He's an interesting guy. And as for my Morrissey psychosis, it will have to live on as just a dream, because he's old now and not nearly as attractive and even if he were still young and beautiful I'd just be far too ordinary and plain for him and his dashing British sensibilities and charm. You know, I really just love men in general, but he's my one special "musician crush", you could say. Courtney is my other one, except in an entirely different way, which, well, you know. And I will have to surf your tumblr, I forget about these things!

oh, and as for the "There Is A Light" business, I don't get it either. It's from a bootleg but it's not actually a cover of that song; it's just this really pretty improv thing that has a couple verses from "Old Age" mixed into it. I don't know how or why the bootlegger/recorder of the show labeled it as that, because it's not a Smiths cover. It might be on YouTube somewhere, the music in it is SO pretty though. Pretty on the inside, one might even say.

Dear Blanche, YES, I forgot about John, he reeks manliness and is just... well... YEAH. I'm not even a huge fan of his or the Chili Peppers, but I did listen to a couple of his solo albums a year or two ago and they were interesting. As for Morrissey, oh my god, don't even get me started. I mean, he's sort of a "nancy boy" as far as I'm concerned, except he's got this masculine edge to him and I just think his features are so beautiful.... like... I can't even describe it. Circa 1980s/1990s, I'd rank him #1 sexiest man ever. I don't know how to explain my obsession with him really. I think what it really comes down to is that I just want him to burst into my house in an English boys' college uniform and make sweet love to me and then we'll live together happily ever after and he can write me songs and I can just stare at him for hours, even though I'm sure there would be days where I'd be bored by his "sensitive guy" thing but he's just too fucking cute and OK I'M GOING TO STOP NOW
