oh, that makes sense haha. I usually end up adding shows to my events list I'd like to go to as well, and even then I go to around maybe 1/4- 1/2 of the shows listed in my events :P

As for Manes, View EP is really awesome, possibly even better than Vilosophe, with a very unique and emotively catchy metal/experimental/synthpop sound. Their last one, How the World Came to an End is a bit more controversial, but after repeated listens I've grown to really like it. OK, I suppose your MSN is the one you have in your profile description, right?

Temple of the Morning Star is pretty good, but In the Eyes of God is the perfection of the avant-garde metal/hardcore/alternative style they established with TotMS, with the most distinct sound, most uniquely awesome drumming, most memorable/compact songwriting. Then they tried to over-do themselves with Sadness Will Prevail, an extremely depressing, doomy, monumental, experimental double album. A lot of the songs on that album are just atmospheric ambient/electronica/noise interludes, like the one you've heard, but I really like it, it's my second favourite TITD album. Then they decided to focus solely on the ugly, raw hardcore/grind/sludge aspect of their sound and released the album Kiss the Pig. Now they just seem to have ran out of ideas with a mediocre new album called Axis of Eden, which is like a less inspired mixture of the previous albums with only a few good moments here and there. Btw, I'm seeing them live on Sunday, I can't fucking wait.

And if you're interested in black metal, and you haven't already, be sure to check out Leviathan's Tenth Sublevel of Suicide. It's by far my favourite black metal record ever, somehow it touches me in a way the others can't. Oh, and there's 16 Horsepower. Mostly dark, modern atmospheric rock influenced country, a very unique and awesome band.

Well, right now I'm really into Today is the Day, which is a great experimental metal/hardcore band. In The Eyes Of God is one of the best modern metal albums I've heard and the rest of their stuff is good too. If you like Converge and Tusk I think you would appreciate it. Also, be sure to check out Manes, Vilosophe is the quintessential atmospheric rock album of the 2000's so far(next to maybe Katatonia's Viva Emptiness). Another mandatory album is Orchid's Chaos Is Me, a 15-minute emotional hardcore offering that became one of my favourite albums ever. You may also be interested in Transit - Decent Man on a Desperate Moon, the new solo album of the vocalist of In the Woods..., it turned out to be quite good(well, if you aren't familiar with ITW, check them out first). And there's the band I'm currently listening to, The God Machine. Great underrated depressive 1990's rock, especially their second album.

Thanks for all the recommendations, I'll keep them in mind. The Angelic Process were indeed great, Million Year Summer was actually my favourite song of last summer. I've heard some Tusk too and it sounded pretty good. I'm not too familiar with drumnbass/dubstep but I like Burial. It's like the Anathema/Katatonia of electronic music.

I like the new Mayhem too, it's very much drone influenced, probably an effect of Atillas' side projects. I've actually liked the show, the setlist was great, the fact that they were playing tracks from A grand declaration of war was a good surprise, I think this album is underestimated. And the sound was pretty good too, so I'm satisfied :) How's the army? Where are you stationed?

Anaal Nathrakh is industrial and grindcore influenced black metal with rather effective and catchy riffs. i consider it 'chill out music' because it's rather emotionless, fast and brutal.

Deinonychus meaning 'terrible claw' was a genus of 3-4 metre long, carnivorous dromaeosaurid dinosaur from the early Cretaceous Period. Its name refers to the unusually large, sickle-shaped talon on the second toe of each hind foot, which was probably held retracted while the dinosaur walked on the third and fourth toes.

I've liked gaop from the previews on last.fm. never were on a noise show though, but it's worth a shot I guess, the entrance is cheap, if not free :)

sure, this show is going to be awesome!) I didn't listen to their latest since it's still fresh and I'm slow, but I've found the self titled album very much to my liking
