It seems utterly bizarre to me that Canada is still celebrating the birthday of a British Queen who died over a century back. Like most people, I have this vague sense of Canada as 'French', although I know it is a bit more complicated than that. But, hey, if you are still getting a holiday from Victoria, good for you!
