That's good, we had a small get together with some of the family and had a nice big dinner. Did you get any gifts?

Well, the first DD album, Journey Into Mystery (1986) is very similar to Celtic Frost's To Mega Therion, whilst their new one keeps the rough sound quality and ads some stoner elements to the doom thrash they play so well. Drop me a line telling me if you liked the band or not :)

Nice! Is that compilation they released last year, isn't it? Lately I've been into a lot of psychedelia that made me feel weirdly peaceful...and I don't like it, though I kinda love this music. Rememer when I asked you for Mexican bands? I've found an interesting one myself, it's called El Ritual and it was the first one to play occult psych rock in Mexico. And by the way, did you know Dream Death released a new album?

I was too tired yesterday evening so I can't say opinion about your music. And If I decide to release some of my music then I'll let you know. ;)

It could be very interesting. I like that kind of music especially on my night walks. It build awesome atmosphere. I record various tracks, sometimes it's glam metal, sometimes thrash sometimes classical and sometimes it's ambient. But 80% of them is too crappy to leave my disk, however I've recorded some quite good tracks so maybe I'll decide to release them soon.

Thanks for add, dude! I'm gonna check out your project this evening. Maybe I'm not huge fan but I like ambient stuff very much. I have recorded some tracks in ambient style too so maybe we release split in the future, hahaha. :D

Hell yeah, great bands and genre! You should check out Sculptured, Pan.Thy.Monium and Forgotten Silence. I know all those bands, Alchemist being the freshest one - I love their sound! Lykathea Aflame and !T.O.O.H.! are some of the most hard-to-get-into bands I know. So chaotic, complex and surprinsingly beautiful. I've heard Mithras is a great band, similar to those tw; do you know them? What album should I start with so that I won't have a hard time getting into it?

Eh, not shame on you; Kyuss isn't a band you will love from the first listen :P I only listened to Witchcraft, will try the other three too, thank you! As I was saying, now that I have heard enough stoner doom albums I got easily into stoner, and screw it it's good! Do you like any avant-garde progressive death bands? I know a few mindblowing ones!

I would love to live in Finland but your language gives me a really hard time. Dunno, would this help me? And yeah, that situation's pretty good. Yet I'd succeed in starting that kind of band? To listen to a genre doesn't equal starting to make it yourself, not always at least.

Nah, it's alright. I'll do so then, thank you. By the way, I'm planning to move in Scandinavia in the close future, probably in Sweden but it's not a certain thing; do you have knowledge of the nowadays musical taste of the Scandinavians? I want to start some bands there. Among others, an old school jazzy prog rock one is on the list, but I know only a few bands from that area playing/being influenced by this kind of genre. Ok, to resume: are the young Scandinavians still digging the old prog stuff?

Well, yes, "technical metal" is the right label for it. Anyway, those "djent" bands are really boring, it's the same thing like the slam/gore/deathgrind bands copying Carcass and Suffocation. I have found this and you seem to be listening to them; which album shall I start with? I really dig what I'm hearing on youtube!

So do I! Most of today's tech death sucks and lacks originality and feeling. Of course, there are a few great bands, Trepalium or Carcariass, for example. I wish there was more techdeath in the vein of Atheist...Also, do you think technical death and prog death are basically the same thing? Now that I got deeper and deeper into the genre, I see the big difference between them. One can not say that Atheist and The Chasm, for example, are similar.

Yeah, but with annoying vocals. It's a big disappointment only because of the vocals...I hope Obisdeo will be better; judging by the artwork, it will be interesting. Fortunately, the new Atheist will be another masterpiece, especially now, with Tony Choy back in the band! Speaking of technicality, do you know Vuvr? Someone told me about them last week and they were phenomenal! Very similar to Atheist, too bad they have only one album released...
