Like you said, if we settled for jobs we hated we would dread doing them and do a sh*tty job on top of it because we just want the day to be over. We just gotta go for it, screw what everyone else thinks and just go for it. And we will! Thank you so much for the kind words, they really do mean so much. It’s nice to know that there is someone else out there like me, even if you are in another country. Like for me... I want to write. I’d love to be a critic, which is why I started a blog where I write about movies, music, etc. I’m gonna work my ass off to try to make it something that I can make money off of, or at least lead me to a job that will give me a similar opportunity. It's something that excites me whenever I think about it and I absolutely love doing it. Do I think I'm gonna become a millionaire doing it? Hell no, but I think I would be extremely happy doing it and that's what's important. I don't want to be the person that wakes up every morning and doesn't want to get out of bed because they're dreading spending 8+ hours at work. I want to wake up every morning and actually be excited for the day ahead. Sometimes it's hard to explain that to some people, but that's just how it is. = )

You’re right; I love the 90’s FF albums, especially FF and The Colour and the Shape. Those rock SO hard! I really love the acoustic performances FF do. You wouldn’t think they would be nearly as good but sometimes they're even better! I can’t even tell you how obsessed I was with disc 2 of In Your Honor. There are some songs on there that are so haunting and beautiful that it just blows my mind that it’s FF. I think the most important thing in life is follow your dreams. If you do that than I think that is a life worth living. Too many people settle for less and as a result too many people are miserable. As you said, money is nice, but if it is at the cost of your own happiness than that isn’t good. I think if it’s something you’re really passionate about then you can make good money doing it because you’ll be more driven to be the best.

I agree with you. However, I’m really not the biggest FF fan so I’m not the person to ask when comparing previous albums. WL is really good though, so maybe with another spin you’ll like it more. Dave Grohl should always be on drums. Period! End of story! And my family is the same way; they say, “oh you’ll never make good money doing that! You should do this instead!” and I’m like, “I would be miserable if I did that.” I know that money is important and it’s necessary to our survival, but if it comes at the cost of our happiness I really don’t thinks it’s worth it. I’d rather be just scraping by and happy then living the life of luxury and miserable. We’re definitely going against the mold, but I think that’s a good thing. If you can't be happy, what's the point? And that’s not selfish at all, that’s just common sense if you ask me. = )

Yea, hopefully we get news soon and they can pick somebody who is able to play as good as Dave, even though that’s basically impossible. And I completely agree, I would much rather hear some new TCV over FF, even though Wasting Light was a really good album. I just prefer Dave on drums, you know? He’s SO good on drums, stay there! = ) And any excuse to add John Paul Jones into the mix is definitely great. Not many super groups work out as well as TCV did, so it would be a shame if nothing more ever came of it. I understand 100% what you are going through. All of the fields I was studying in (especially with the economy the way it is) I would be hard pressed to find a job, AND I was already at the point where I was like, “I don’t even like this anymore.” When I first started college I just went for what seemed the most reasonable careers: good money, good job security, and all that stuff. But now I want to do something that I would actually be passionate doing.

They actually haven’t said who the replacement drummer is going to be, but considering they start touring at the end of March I would think they would want to do that soon! I am also dying to hear some new Them Crooked Vultures, but I haven’t heard anything either. However, Dave has said that he is taking time off from FF for a while, so maybe we’ll get lucky and something will happen after the new QOTSA is out? I definitely remember Dave saying that they wanted to do more, so hopefully something happens soon. That’s great you’re going to be graduating! What degree and where do you plan to go from here with it? I wish I was graduating, but I have changed my mind about a million times now with what I want to do with my life so any progress I DO make is erased! ARGH! Haha aggravating but what can you do? My favorite horror... first impulse is The Shining (to which they are making a sequel I'm not excited about). Truth be told, I don't think I've ever been scared by a horror film since I was a child, as horribly boring as that may be. Unsettling tension is the best reaction they can usually give me.So based on how I liked them as a movie, I would say Nosferatu, Alien, Jaws, and anything by Hitchcock. Always Sunny is one of the few shows I can be thinking of with no context and laugh. Nova is awesome! But I'm a nerd, so that view is skewed! If you don't end up liking QI, I'll eat my hat. OMG, thank you thank you thank you for Darkplace. I've watched 3 episodes and have cried laughing in each one. It's so incredibly perfect. Already, I have 2 friends watching rabidly, as well. If you like that, you would seriously enjoy Black Dynamite. Same kind of humor, but done in relation to 70's Blaxploitation flicks. Easily one of the funniest movies this decade.

I like that you say you tried to be normal. It seems like every awesome person I know had a phase where they just wanted to fit in, so they acted differently. If I regret anything, it was that. What a waste of time! The weird part is, so many people do it anyway. I think most people are weird at heart, and only a select few of us are cool enough to accept truth and combat social norms. If we all acted like we want, we'd know who our real friends are, no? I wasted a lot of hours on Anime. I'd say start with the classic films: Akira & Ninja Scroll. They stand on their own, and that's rare. I come from a family of cooks, and proudly carry on the tradition, so I have to ask: what kind of pizza? What's your favorite food to cook/eat? Haha, I've always gone for brains, too (nozombie), but there are almost no intelligent female characters on TV who aren't just bitches or eclipsed by better male counterparts. I did always side with Donatello, Edd, Mr. Peabody, Simon, etc, though.

You actually had me going for a second with the Finnish Disney stuff. In response to Aladdin: B-bb-but... what about Robin Williams?! As far as Universal Monsters goes, I am, admittedly, quite rusty. I have seen all of the ancient films no one watches, but it has been 15 years or more. Lugosi, Karloff, Chaney and the like are absolute icons and films wouldn't be the same without them, but I don't stay as close to them as I should. Perhaps you could convince me to pick them back up? Generally, I tend to go for Hammer Horror. My love of Cushing, Price, and Lee is still strong to this day. Halloween is soon! It's Always Sunny is one of my absolute favorite shows. I watched it religiously until they boned up season 6, but I'm happy to see they're back on form. Shouting "Wildcard" before doing something insane is now a habit. I haven't gotten around to Community or Darkplace yet, but they are on the list. I have been in a learning mood, and watching NOVA and QI on repeat for several weeks.

Oh my my. I wouldn't recommend Star Wars trivia. I was obsessed in my youth going so far as to frequently play Trivial Pursuit (often alone) with the Star Wars Trivia Deck. I have the same condition of being an information sponge. My remedy, so I could still have friends, is to watch the film the first time and enjoy everyone's company, then I usually lay awake at night thinking about where I saw an actor or plot holes I noticed, then I get up early, and rewatch while furiously researching. As far as cans and lids go, I would probably group the same colors and sort via color wheel... assuming, of course, that I have an even number of lids. Oh gosh... that came out a little crazy. Book shelves are an absolute nightmare for me. You sound exasperated at being anal, but the world runs because of loons like us.

I adore being odd. Doing what you enjoy without regard to others' perceptions is such a liberating existence. As far as anime goes, imho, there are some truly great series or movies about once every 5 years. I can literally count on my hand the number that could stand on their own without hiding behind the veil of new medium to protect itself from criticism. Conversation, unfortunately, requires immersion to appreciate so I'd say keep your head. Making pizza and watching a movie sounds delightful, actually. I cook and watch movies all the time. I'd definitely file that under E for eccentric, not I for idiocy. Of course I meant Genndy! Dexter's Lab made me realize at a young age that being smart is cool, so to hell with the haters. Every series he does is amazing (Clone Wars cartoon was so much better than the CG and even episodes 1-3). What's your favorite? South Park is always concise genius. They pretty much ran out of plot ages ago and now exist as a clear-eyed view of world events.

It's sad that the intelligent are a minority, and intelligent with a sense of humor are an endangered species.I often find myself laughing in my head at things I say while an idiot who doesn't deserve to hear how hilarious I am stares at me blankly. Still, I won't give up how awesome I am because most people can't keep up, so I get to live in my own private world. Sadly, these days I find myself snickering far more than guffawing. Burton is quite the auteur director, but I think that's becoming his downfall. No, I don't have any piercings :( I'm planning to get a tattoo for a couple of years already but I still change the whole idea of it, the place, the word/words I want to tattoo... seems like I'm not good at planning xD do you have a tattoo? A few days before the gig and the meeting my friend and me got a permission to interview the guys for the official Polish fanclub, we prepared the questions and all those things, but we didn't do that - TR left 2 hours earlier than they were supposed to -.- so it was one more fail from the record company and all the people who were pushing so hard there, seems like guys got scared and ran away to the airport xD So,even if my memories from the gig are good and I met many lovely people during those two days, I've got kinda bittersweet feeling now, disappointed, ashamed... dunno. I managed to take a pic with Eero cause there weren't many people around him, he's so peaceful that you just want to sit and meditate with him :D I guess it's because of the yoga xD I got the autographs from Lauri and Aki but it was impossible for me to take a pic with them. Then I didn't even want to do it when I saw all the freaky people around Lauri, he was looking so shy and uncomfortable with it.
