I've heard some of the things that you recommended, and I was a smiths fan in my pre-computer crashing / pre-last.fm era And Aphex Twin was one of the artists that made me really want to start making music, he's so inspiring - my friend said that when he saw Aphex DJing he amped up a blender on stage

Yeah his vocals on the album make him sound a lot like Prodigy. My favorites are Still In Love, Message in the Song, Dedicated, and Holy Are You, but there aren't any bad tracks.

Basically Rakim's attempt to change with the times and do it a bit mainstream. Still way better than anything else dropping but its not up to Rakim standards. I like it a lot though.
