As for non-japanese stuff, I'm currently really into Diablo Swing Orchestra's new album and Nachtmahr. I think you'd really enjoy Emilie Simon (not her latest album)! Have you heard of her?

Any one of these three albums would be a fine introduction: Focus III, Hamburger Concerto, Live at The Rainbow. Moving Waves was the "hit"/breakthrough album for them - its got "Hocus Pocus" on it - but imo you can save that for later...

Hey Riley my man did you know that you can get the Deerhoof album "Offend Maggie" for free from the Deerhoof page of Last.fm?? Somebody shouted a link to an Rar file for downloading (mine took about 20 min. for 14 tracks). And that 1000 lights (sights?) of Koenji album is great!!

It's very awesome, but I'm for now, pretty much in hiatus in my schizophrenic album-grabbing. I'm now at college and more preoccupied than I was in high school, and the internet connection's been getting worse, but yeah: "Gigi Leung Is Dead" > life. The most cutting edge thing I've been getting up to has been listening to the Yamasuki Singers over and over again!
