That's kinda like when they tell you to never do something you're good at for free, but I've never managed to get paid for overthinking or being anxious about stuff either.

Hahah yeah I went a bit overboard - chalk it up to a compelling video and Danny Hyde Coil era time-stretch on her vocals - was never a big fan of their earlier stuff, but now that the EBM etc influences are being worn on their sleeve, I can digest it properly!

Oh that's interesting about the self-titled, I had completely passed that one up - will check out now, thanks!

You said exactly what I was afraid of, hahah...I guess I'll pass on that one. Here's my second question for you - how would you compare Emptyset's Recur to Demiurge? Do you have a preference? I'm back in buying music mode so the pace at which I consume new stuff is pretty glacial - but I'm a big fan of Demiurge and have been wondering about Recur for awhile.

There's actually a recording of him reading some of those stories - that's totally what I'd play if I were DJing at a party. And yes, if you're a fan of Thompson or Burroughs (especially the latter) you'll most likely love Ballard.

I nearly picked up that Alberich album in your top section for last 90 days - what are your thoughts? Do you find it constantly engaging or does the length ever wear you a bit thin?

Grossed out? no, I did actually like it (then again, I'm rarely ever grossed out by anything and I'm familiarized with this kind of literature). It is raw, brutal and it feels honest - that's why I like it. I wouldn't say, however, that Gira is much of a gifted writer, but it's an okay piece of transgressive literature in general. It moves you in some way and that's what matters the most to me. Also, the whole sex-and-death recurrent theme reminded me a lot of Ballard's The Atrocity Exhibition and that's such a compliment.

Nope, no cheating. Don't see the point in that. Listening to music is just how I choose to spend all of my time.

Hi, to be honest I'm disappointed with new TK album, it's completely different then all previous ones. But maybe it'll grow on me.

Thanks for pointing that out. Ode to the west wind is my fav of his work. Look on my works and despair!

Have you ever seen a human being that looks remotely close to a rocket power character?. . The lame made-up slang, the obnoxious transition effects, and the very worst of Klasky Csupo character designs. As the ancient Hawaiians used to say "just fuck my shit up forever senpai" woogity woogity woogity

Rocket power was such a bizarrely drawn and sucky ass show. I miss it too bruh.

Yeah, I love his forehead. He's got the absolute best forehead, if he entered a forehead competition he would totally win. And thx (?) I love your 'about me', that's my favorite Teho & Blixa song.

Yeah, I'd say so. It's probably the most subtle, mature album he's made and it feels the most like a classic minimal techno record. Everyone's opinion is different, but to me it might be his best album since that debut.
