My favorite is From Filthy Tongue of Gods and Griots. It has a bit more diversity than Absence and Abandoned Language, and it just sounds more lively. I think Absence is their heaviest and noisiest album, but the flow and production can get a bit repetitive and sound-samey at times.I'd personally start with FFTGG, but Absence is a good place to start as well. Abandoned Language and Latitudes are also worth checking out.

Yeah, I still love TMS and would recommend that over NLDW, but it's still really awesome

Absolutely amazing, yessss, so worth the wait. I am digging Come up and get me, No Love, and Lock Your Doors but it's still only my second full listen though. Was just kinda picking around the album.

Of course I'm excited! Huge Death Grips fan here, and I've been following the ARG since it started. It's gonna take a lot to top The Money Store, but I'm hyped. Stay noided.

New tracks as All Human or just new tracks that Adam put out? I know on facebook an event was created for songs he worked on but you may be talking about something totally different.

even though there is a lack of riffs, the instrumentals seem more mature. which is good because it shows they are progressing as a band, but they are also maintaining that with excellent writing. i can see why you say somewhere between... is more emotional. i know on that album, i was belting out the songs with emotion when i saw them, like new storms for older lovers, sad prayers for guilty bodies, and of course the last lost continent. they all tell a story and on that album you can pick out an overall theme for the album. i loved that they incorporated some of the the here, hear EPs . GOOD GOD. king park! the whole story is amazing. jordan creates an image like a whole vivid scene for the listener and the last half is indescribable. that song my be one of my favorites for this album.

when i got it last week, i listened to it for pure instrumentals, still enjoying lyrics, but not like one hundred percent devoted to lyrics. loved all the the instrumentals though. every instrument had its own time to display what they had which i love. today was my sit down day to actually read the lyrics, but i already had a clue, but once i actually read what he was writing, dear god it was amazing, he really put a lot of though into this album. the stories in each song where amazing and you can feel the emotion being put out. still gives me chills. overall, i love this album a lot. this one compared to somewhere between... has a lot more emotion in it. not saying that somewhere between... didn't, but this one, was outstanding. overall loved the album. a bit long, lololololol

Dude, CTTS was MIND-BLOWING, so were Pg. 99 and Thou. I brofisted Drew Speziale and I felt as I had been touched by the hand of Shakespeare.

Well, of course! They're probably my absolute favorite band, after all. :D I see you've been listening to lots of Sleigh Bells. I wish they'd put out more songs like Straight A's.

'Alive and Well' the Adam Rupert track. Where did you get it? The song 'Through the floor' is about Trent. I asked Adam and then posted some info on the actual track page. Goose is in Salt Lake and at the last Seattle Orbs show Adam was saying he thinks Dave should do the married thing for awhile. Mike sold his amp cases and whatnot I saw so it seems like he's done. Adam may have even told me he was done. You are right though on the inactivity and not a complete end. I told sprdnglkwngs this on twitter: "Don't know that for sure. #stayposi At any rate Absolute Future, Absolute Past is not just a title. It's fucking ∞." I try and stay positive. I'm extremely interested. Two copies of that record signed. Finally got the LP after years of searching. I'd be happy with a DVD and posthumous record release but at the least I'm confident that footage will see the light of day.

Best response I've seen on facebook :If they were full on breaking up they would have just came out and told us that. Adam chose his words carefully and gave us an update, very different from when a band announces they're calling it quits. Sounds more like they're just individually busy with other things and Fear Before is taking a back seat for the time being. Still sad news and everything, but no need for the dramatics." Stay Posi.
