English Settlement is such an amazing album! I just love how the drums and bass feel on it! Plus that guitar sound is so great! :O

And honestly, I really liked "Strangeways." It was actually my introduction to the Smiths, and my love grew from there. It still provides a good deal of enjoyment, I must admit.

Oh, definitely agreed. I know my charts here don't reflect it; but I'm a huge fan of the Smiths. They're my preferred "driving in my car" soundtrack. I'm not exactly a huge fan of Morrissey's solo work, but as The Smiths, they (and HE) had it right!

Thank ya thank ya!! So far, this week has been pretty awesome. I went to that CAA Championship game on Monday night, and last night I did Bikram yoga, which is basically doing yoga in a room that is 105 degrees for 90 minutes. It was killer but still awesome! We'll have to try it at home. i think there's one in Greenbrier.

Thanks, really liked that song it reminded me of some riot grrrl bands. They're curating the one in the UK too but I can't go see them (grrr.) His vocals can completely turn people off, but I love them, find them to be really distinctive. An acquired taste perhaps. That album is good and their following one (Gentlemen) is considered their magnum Opus and is my favourite. I would say that is worth checking out, a bit less raw then Congregation but more heartbreaking and this is the album where their soul influences start coming through. Their most accessible is their last (1965) and probably the most ideal place to start. Their soul and jazz influences really peaked on this album. Here are 2 snippets http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1ccfXbWI8Q&feature=related and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdhcFu_UJMc

Thank you very much :) Those channels had some interesting hard rock obscurities which I'll make sure to delve into some time in the near future. Happy listening!

I miss youse toose! I can't tell you how often something makes me think of you! haha. I'm actually guilty of listening to this while at work. One of the perks! Death Cab has proven to be one of the easiest-listening stations that don't make me want to sleep or jump around at my desk. How how you beeeeen?? Time is flyin. I'm moving back home in June so we'll have ces tree time again! So long as you don't move too, haha.

still rattling at the chains at the gates of the world but you can't quite pretend. still tasting youth's bitter exile here in your empty generation's wasteland where all the things that you've been clinging to are being ripped from your hands
