C: I've borrowed a couple of cd's from the local library, and I'll be running through them the coming days, you can already see a spike in the amount of Vampire Weekend (I borrowed Contra) and Ariel Pink listens (borrowed Mature Themes) so far, I really love the cheesiness of Ariel Pink, and I need to listen to more Contra to really like it, I feel. other than that, I start to listen to more Beach House, because there's a chance I'll be going to a concert of theirs the 16th of july, depending wether a friend I'd be going with is on holiday at that moment or not. and God, Wishes from their latest album is such a heavenly song <3 and finally, I'm really starting to discover Fiona Apple's Extroadinary Machine. some parts of the album are rather dull, (Better Version of Me, Oh Well, title track), but others, like Window and Get Him Back and Not About love are really great, and with clever lyrics and lovely melodies they're really highlights of my month

I've listened to Odelay and Sea Change some weeks ago, but unfortunately they didn't stick. Guero is nice, though, and I've listened to it several times now (some on my iPod which doesn't scrobble), and though I find the short songs hard to digest somehow (maybe my hipster instinct makes me dislike short pop songs lol) I begin to really like Guero, especially the start, as the end seems kind of boring to me. is Modern Guilt a good next step for discovering Beck? and anyway, how is life in general for you? I think we should have a normal conversation soon, I really enjoyed last one!
