Great news about the job. Congrats! Moving home isn't ideal but think of the money you'll save. I was never as rich as the year I lived at home haha. Are you looking forward to putting your knowledge into practice?? Sorry to hear things didn't work out with your last fella. I promise you it's his loss as there's not many nice girls with great musical taste I can assure you!!! I'm sure someone will come along and sweep you off your feet and treat you to a trip to Barcelona. If not it's a great city to visit regardless. I'm hoping to get over for a weekend and to take in a game in April if I can get it sorted. If not i'm off to Spain for another golf trip in June so I'll still get my Spanish fix! You should def try and get to see Bruce if he tours. You'll not be disappointed (hopefully!). Have you got the new Adele album? I heard her singing Someone Like You on Jools towards the end of last year and it blew me away. If the rest of the new album is as good as that it's a must buy!

Yeah it is great for finding new music on here. It's my dinner making companion too! I actually saw Lissie as she was supporting your mate Mr Radin and really liked her. I listen to her a bit on here but her gig this year coincided with one of my favs so I couldn't go. Hopefully I'll get a chance next year. My Da got my mum that Rumer album for Christmas but I didn't get a listen to it. My gig of the year was proper Eli 'Paperboy' Reed or Josh Ritter. If you haven't heard much Josh Ritter you should check him out I reckon you'd like him. I've not a single gig lined up for this year yet which is pretty poor but I'm sure that'll change and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Bruce gig! Life gets a lot less interesting after uni haha. Have you managed to find a physio job? I've been making regular visits until recently as I hurt my medial ligament in my elbow playing footy. What a pain they are! Oh and have you not booked that Barca trip yet??

Thought I'd stop by to gloat in the fact that I won our race to 5000 plays. I'd like to say you were a worthy foe but I'd be lying haha. I am however contemplating the fact that you might have a more exciting life than me and thus have less time to spend on here. Hopefully this thought will pass quickly! Anyway hope you're well and have had a good Christmas. Have you any exciting gigs lined up for next year? A fav gig of last year?

Your trip sounds amazing. Everyone I know who's been there has loved it too. I'll have to add it to my list! It must be crazy seeing a place without cars and great at the same time. I can't believe you haven't been to Spain! If you get away from the magaluf type places it's a really cool place. Barca is one of my favourite cities, I'd definitely recommend you treat yourself to a city break there.

My golfing holiday to Spain doesn't have quite the same ring as travelling in South East Asia haha! Sounds like you had a great time, I'm very jealous. Favourite place you visited? Growing up does kind of suck haha! So are you working now? My summer has been pretty much the same as my autumn, winter and spring! I'm off to Spain again in September so I'm looking forward to that. Other than that just been working and gyming with the odd night out thrown in. The footy season starts again for us soon so have pre season training next week which I can't wait for........

Always a tough one when the unknown artist you like becomes mainstream, but you can always claim fan superiority! Haha well it's been a while since I finished uni and I'm not sure I've completely grown up yet so don't worry about that! As for taxes you know what they say about there being only 2 things you can be sure of in life, well except if you live in Greece it would seem haha! Hope the assignment goes well. At least you can have the summer off to watch the World Cup!

I forgot I'd promised you a gig review of Mr Radin. Well, I've no doubt you would have loved it! I enjoyed it, though I have to say he's not the typical singer songwriter I'd listen to. I also felt about 10 years too old to be there! I felt like I was in an episode of Dawson's Creek haha. He has a nice voice and he came across as a nice guy. The teenage girls certainly seemed to enjoy it!

Love your music. Looking thru it to see if there is anyone I have missed since it seems we enjoy many of the same artists, Thanks, Ty

haha i've been like a machine recently! I make that 1-1. I reckon we make it best of 5. Next target 2500? I did warn you I was competitive too, and now my sporting peak is a distant memory I need more realistic challenges! To quote the legendary Michael Buffer 'Let's get ready to rumble!".

hello! hope you got the assignment finished. anyway i'm looking for some recommendations. I've been having a random songs of the 90's week but been playing Brett Dennen on repeat in the car and figure i need another singer of that ilk to play that i've not listened to before. You have become my oracle on this, as my only mate who's into the same sort of stuff goes for the more depressing types! Don't let me down haha.

it was lucky that was just a practice! the real challenge is first to 1500. now i know you are a student and thus a worthy challenger i will take it seriously now haha. Like the joshua radin story, you must have loved that. you usually find the most talented people are the most down to earth. Didn't find any joe purdy or william fitzsimmons in hmv unsurprisingly though did find a brett dennen cd which i didn't have so was pleased with that. hope you also got your assignment finished, along with winning the first battle of our war, and your feeling a bit better!

aaaaahhhhh i've just noticed your listening, didn't you go to bed haha?!! i see this really is war now. i was supposed to be taking my sister to get her birthday present today but i might have to tell her i have something more important to do! Have to say i like the small gigs too, but for me heaven is springsteen in concert. the last gig i went to was foy vance in manchester and there was only about 60 people there which was good. to be fair most of the people i listen to don't get big crowds round here, so most of the gigs are pretty intimate. Anyway i think if you're still not well, you should really be sleeping and if you're feeling better you should be practicing some rugby set pieces or sweating it out at the gym!

i remember those days! i was a last night man including my dissertation, not recommended! when i'm not on here i'm at work. when not at work i'm usually down the gym and i still kick a footy around on a saturday. watch a lot of sport too, go to gigs, the usual stuff really. do go out on the booze occasionally but at my age the hangovers last days instead of hours. Spent a bit of time at the physios you could probably have written a good dissertation on my injuries haha. what about you, what is going to keep you away from lastfm so i can win this challenge?!
