The only reasons I can think about is that 1.) your library has evolved and changed since August or 2.) their process for predicting compatibility has changed (less likely). My library is so big, it likely hasn't changed much. I scrobble less now, and I'm most often playing a specific playlist that I use for my home workout program, so maybe that's it. You are correct. Yes was my favorite band back in the 70s. Fragile was one of the first LPs I even bought. They were my favorite band through Relayer and he solo albums. But then my interests changed and I've never even heard Going for the One, or any albums after that. What more can I say?

you've got a lot of artists - many I haven't heard of - I wish they still had last.fm radio so I could scrobble some of them.

A lot of music grows old and familiar w time, and you get tired of it - but that Slint album just keeps becoming more affecting and fresh. same goes for Neutral Milk Hotel from the same era.

my last.fm friend Roamin has 200,000+

I'm not sure what he is using - he;s been incommunicado for the past few years; but I, at this point, listen primarily with my itunes and I use Spotify for adding new artists. Back when I was trying to really add a lot of new artists i was scrobbling with last.fm radio (no longer available as far as I know) and scrobbling youtube (also no longer available for scrobbling). Also I used FMA (free music archive) and I'm not sure you can still scrobble from that but they have a zillion artists you might not find anywhere else.

oh, thanks but it's no big deal - it just takes 18 years. I think what was much more difficult was getting ~140,000 unique artists.
