to be perfectly honest, the pros definitely outweigh the cons of my job, most of the customers are great. i get to fold shirts and talk about music each day. and it doesn't feel like work. like i'll be halfway through a shift and think "this is work huh? really" lol. i love my job. but i don't know how more many stupid customers i can deal with.

it's definitely difficult. because i tend to just hate people in general. and when people are rude to me i just ignore them. and i live in texas.... you couldn't imagine how many rednecks come in and ask if we sell whips and chains, cause they think it's funny. or the prank calles. "HEEEEEEY WHATS UP DUDE HOT TOPIC THIS IS SHELBY HOW CAN I HELP YOU?" "is this the emo store?" lol. it's really hard to not just yell at people. and old guys who hit on me when i'm in an iron maiden shirt or a metallica shirt. fdghkfdhgkdfshgksdfhg.

dude i live in bumfuck texas. the only people i know who listen to the same music as me are the people i work with at HOT TOPIC.

i just want a tall strong gnarly metal dude with long hair who's in a band. and there's no one like that here. just the typical scene emo screamo bands. i want a guy that i can put black sabbath's heaven and hell in and we both know every word. or iron maiden.

if i were still with him, i'd do that. he hated slayer with a passion. unfortunately there's no real metal scene around here, (metal guys who play instruments and have long hair don't exist here) just a bunch of myspace scenie weenies that stand around at shows. i hate being the only girl in the pit.

he'd get pissed off at me for playing disfiguring the goddess or animosity or mayhem in MY FUCKING CAR when we'd go places. and he'd unplug my ipod when i wasn't looking and start playing bluegrass. i wasted 9 months of my fucking life with that idiot :/

yeah my ex did everything he could to be like jeff mangum. it was frightening how obsessed he was. he never shut the fuck up about jeff. i mean i liked nmh before i dated him but that's all we ever listened to. that and his stupid fucking bluegrass. and for someone who's favorite genres are deathcore and hardcore punk, that was just fucking torture D: yeah beulah's alright. what about dressy bessy or apples in stereo?

i got into them because of an ex boyfriend, once we stopped dating i stopped listening cause it reminded me of him and i fucking hate that kid haha. there's still a shitload of other bands on e6 i still listen to though.
