I am really tempted to go, love the early stuff but I'm worried they'll just play new songs... I think I'll warm to it, there's a few standout tracks (all the noisy ones really), but it's nothing like Leave Home. I listened to Parquet Courts for the first time the other day, they're playing Primavera so I checked them out and their debut album is great. I didn't think I'd like their Americana theme but it's awesome.
Yeah I liked Dogfeet especially, it's a shame their instruments fucked up, I'd love to see them again. They had a great noise-rock/80s industrial sort of sound going on, like the Big Black crossed with Godflesh, which is just the kind of thing I love. So thanks for that link. Puce Mary were great and kind of traumatising at the same time, reminded me of Demdike Stare (who are also great). And yeah I'm sure I'll see you at another gig soon anyway, we like exactly the same music so it's bound to happen!
Hey I think I saw you last night, I was going to say hi but you'd disappeared before I got the chance! What did you think of Iceage? I thought it was amazing. And did you manage to sell your spare ticket? I did ask around, but it was looking doubtful as to whether I was going to go for a while as I was really ill...
Yeah I haven't got enough money for a ticket for ArcTanGent yet, but there's no way I'm not going! That line-up is absolutely incredible. I went to 2000 Trees last year which is run by the same guys, so it's guaranteed that this one is going to be just as well-organised too. I see you've been listening to the new Iceage album, what do you think of it? I think I prefer it to their debut!
