i'm sure it isn't just you, their old stuff is pretty sickening. i would give their newest album a shot though, or at least just listen to the song 'mother of the world'. i love the turn it takes around the 5:30 mark. the band is psychologically relieving to me for some reason, hopefully i'll feel the same way when i see them live.
