Yeah I've heard em all haha. Apollo Brown's version is dope too. It gives the album a completely different feel but it's dope.

Sour Soul wasn't bad. It's good vibes and good sounds but it wasn't anything special. Some of it was kind of bland. I liked 36 Seasons better honestly.

For the most part, it seems to be getting the love it deserves. It's not an easy album to grasp. It's not that accessible or catchy for the mainstream but everything is executed so well. The story, the mixing and mastering, the lyrics, the revitalization of funk on a mainstream level etc. It's an incredible album for so many reasons. It's truly an album, not just a bunch of songs.

I only listened to the Busta/Q-Tip shit because you reminded me of it, otherwise it would just rot in my library =P About Childish Gambino, i listened to his album twice on the same day, and i can assure you, it's pretty good. Haven't listened to "Royalty" yet, but someday i will, since "Because The Internet" is so good.

No problem, bro. I listened to a few tracks, project sounded nice, but i started to do other things, forgot about it, and now i'm listening to chaos itself, Anaal Nathrakh. Last.FM Is scrobbling that Busta/Q-Tip shit as Busta's only. Anyway, from the maybe 12 tracks i heard, all of them sounded cool. Soon enough i'll listen to the rest.

Now that we have the best sources when it comes to hip-hop, our libraries are going to expand like a motherfucker. That "psychocydd" shit i mentioned, i discovered it a few days ago and already downloaded something close to 5 GB. Just downloaded something in this "Viperial" too, it's called "Maitre Gims - Subliminal la face cachée". I don't have a clue on what's it about, but the cover got my attention =P

I download most of my shit from torrent websites, like piratebay, kickass torrents, psychocydd etc. It works as long as the artists are "well known". For mixtapes, i go to DatPiff, fuck it, it's free, it's fast, it's good looking =P Hip-Hop I just put the shit on google and download it from whatever the place it comes up. It's easier. If i don't know what i want to download, i'll just check some sites like "GangstaRapTalk", "Respecta.net", "NewAlbumReleases", "GetMetal.org", and i think that's about it. What about you?

I absolutely hate this (DatPiff Exclusive), but i don't have enough patience to take it out. I just left everything DatPiff exclusive and fuck the real tags. That site is the one that allows us to download shit faster. Other mixtape sites are slow as fuck. Like "livemixtapes". Pure garbage when it comes to download multiple files.

EXACTLY! Even though i kind like organizing this shit, it can be a pain in the ass, specially in those "discographies" you find. Such a MESS... Not only the cover art is missing, but tracks in different order or even without any tags at all. A few times i have downloaded this kind of thing, and when i put it there, i couldn't find it anymore, because the artist wasn't tagged... And yeah, if i were a rich motherfucker, i would buy the shit out of music, but since i'm not, i'll still download stuff =P

Yeah dude, i download too much shit. Just so you can picture it, if i left all my shit playing while going on vacation, i could return and it would still be playing. I'm not joking. There are 138 days of music here in my pc. That's 373 GB. IT'S TOO MUCH. I NEED REHAB =P And yet you have more than me. We need rehab =P I like to change a little bit, i don't listen to hip-hop only, but it's been my favorite genre for the past year or so. I'm starting to listen to metal again. Just downloaded a bunch of stuff. Hopefully this time it'll work =P Well, i have one cd or two, but i rarely buy them. It's too expensive here in my country. One CD often costs like 40, even 60 bucks. With that money i can buy a lot of other things that would make me happier, like, i don't know, 5 comic books, or go to the movies a couple of times. And i would just use the CD once, since i like to keep records of whatever it is that i do. So i would put it in my pc, save it, and then listen to it through here.

Aqualeo Is pretty dope. They are a duo and their lyrics are pretty powerfull. Not motivational stuff, just things that perhaps will make you think about topics like religion, hypocrisy, and other important things. About the albums, never heard about Aloe Blacc and Clear Soul Forces. I'll download these. Dude, i listened to a lot of music this year, and i'm still behind things =P Perhaps due to the fact that i download pretty much every hip-hop album that comes out. My hard drive has 300GB of music and counting. I seriously doubt that one day i'll listen to everything.

Well, let me see... A few albums that i fuck with till this very day that came out this year are: Twelve Reasons to Die, Yeezus, Constant Energy Struggles (Ces Cru), Manniballector (Brotha Lynch Hung), MNIMN (Pusha T), ESGN (Freddie Gibbs), Acid Rap (Chance the Rapper), Doris (Earl Sweatshirt), all Stalley projects that came out this year, Speaking of the Devil and Black Magic (Aqualeo), A$AP Rocky's LONG.LIVE.A$AP, The Underachievers "Indigoism"... I think those are pretty much my favorites this year, but there are plenty more that i still need a couple more listens, like R.A.'s "Legends Never Die" (which i liked very much in my first 2 listens), Eminem's new shit, J. Cole's "Born Sinner", Danny Brown's "Old", "High & Mighty" (Nacho Picasso)... Shit, there's too much things in this post, i'll stop now. About the Black Milk, i'll hear the album a few more times. What about your favorite albums/mixtapes this year?

MrAudico
About the Black Milk album, yes, i have heard it, and it's pretty good, but i haven't listened to it the "proper" way, y'know? I listened to it while doing some other shit, and although i liked it, i'm pretty sure i would enjoy it even more with a couple more listens and, of course, with more attention. What about your thoughts on the album?
Actions

MrAudico
Yes, i have heard it, although i prefer the original version, the "Brown Tape", is pretty good too. I don't think Kendrick Lamar make such linear stories, some tracks are connected, but some aren't. About Masta Ace, i'll definitely listen to "A Long Hot Summer". I did a lil bit of research and there's only a few albums that uses storytelling in all tracks. I came up with "Sticky Fingaz - Blacktrash: The Autobiography of Kirk Jones", which is about a felon named Kirk Jones who was just released from prison. I'll listen to it too. Also, some people said other Ghostface Killah albums was like that, like "Fishcale", but i haven't listened to it yet.

Interesting... Apollo Brown e Adrian Younge are great producers, it would be cool to see it. Thinking about it, i would like to see a DOOM x RZA joint, that would be awesome as fuck. 12 Reasons to Die Is badass too, shit is like a movie. Do you know any other albums that have this "storytelling" through the entire album? I know Cold 187um, his album "The Only Solution" has a great delivery. Slick Rick Does that shit in a few tracks but it's rare to see in an entire album... Such a shame... =P

And there's more, Gibbs is going to release a mixtape called "Anybody Killa" perhaps this next week. Dude is a fucking machine. About Bishop Nehru, he is a talented young lad with 2 mixtapes under his belt. "Nehruvia" And "Strictly Flowz". I think you should listen to the second one, it's a pretty cool mixtape. But i understand you, and i would rather have the motherfucking DOOM x Ghostface shit than this one with Bishop Nehru, or even another project, but let's wait, perhaps when it drops it'll shut my mouth =P

Yeah man, i'm definitely looking forward to that. Their previous EPs are excellent, in fact, even though i already knew Freddie Gibbs for a long time, the Thuggin' EP introduced him to me again, and now he's pretty much one of my favorite rappers. I'm just a little upset because it was supposed to drop this year, like the new Wu-Tang album and that DOOM x Ghostface Killah collab album too, but it seems like those ones aren't going to happen too soo...
