The Doors are pretty overrated, I think they're actually pretty generic. How are Monks though? They seem interesting but I never got the chance to listen to them.

I'd say "Rubber Factory" is the Black Keys' best, It's an even mix of raw simplicity and a catchy sound. It's very riff-based, which they've always been.

I think I have like twenty shouts saying the same thing about the Black Keys. They're my favorite band. They play fun, fast-paced blues. Shit's awesome, son.

wasn't massively keen on it after the first listen. every time i listen to it, it seems to get better though. it's definitely a grower. all animal collective albums are like that to me though. didn't like MPP on the first listen either.

I listened to Ocean Roar yesterday, and damn, it's good. I thought the black metal and doom tags on what.cd were a joke, but Phil really seems to have been influenced by those genres.

Alright, expectations are set. Mainly hoping Ocean Roar "sticks" better than Clear Moon, which just comes as a calm wind: it's refreshing and enjoyable, but when it ends, it leaves without a trace, like it was never there.
