Hi Luisa! Thanks for the message. Sorry I've not replied till now. For some reason it seems last.fm has ceased to send notifications about new messages. Also I have hardly listened to any music of late. Only occasionally playing old stuff I already have. It's been an age since I have listened to anything new. I've yet to try any new streaming sites. My old mobile does not use apps. I'm the only 'smart' one (apparently) in this relationship ;) Anyway, sending you a pm :)

However, I shall refrain from holding my breath... lol Hmmm, yes! I'm still trying to wrap my head around the new last.fm too. It looks so bland and like most other sites now. Completely lost its character. I don't know why they felt they needed to change the look so drastically. I've not yet had the chance to check out features. I'm surprised you say there is no longer events, journals or PLAYLISTS!?! I was already annoyed a couple of years back when they dropped the 'Loved Tracks' feature. Plus it's a lot more expensive nowadays and so I've not subscribed as I used to annually. Anyway, like I said, I'm gonna seek out this new album and give it a go. It would be nice to have a new DD song or two to fall in love with :) Take care :)

Hi! Very long time indeed! How've you been? ... I'm doing fine, thanks. Been really busy. Just had a single listen to it today. I thought it sounded ok, not sure if it'll grow on me or sound worse with more listens as yet. As you know, I hated RCM completely, so this sounds a big improvement ;) I just don't know why such an established, successful band as DD constantly seem to think they need to collaborate with other artists on recent releases. Nile Rodgers, ok! The man is a living legend and genius and almost a DD member at one point, the others I didn't like at all. I also hope the new album is a big improvement. I'm tough to please, I like DD to sound like DD of the early 80's & early 90's :) Nice to hear from you :)

Not quite finding enough time for music, but at least some is an improvement :) Seems you're doing far better than myself ;) Live gigs is definitely something I've missed out on for many years now. None of my friends will come along anymore since they had kids... lol. I used to have to drag them along to EBM/Industrial gigs and clubs. But now they have an excuse.. phffft! Hey! Anyway, How've you been? It's been ages yet again since I last logged in here... Are you visiting Italy much these days? I miss it!!!

Oh yes! It's the same girls from the video... I insisted upon it ;) Got a larger rear-view mirror too! :P I don't envy myself either for having to drive in each day. Yesterday it took me 90mins to get into work because of all the traffic. It's normally a 30min drive! Thankfully it's pretty rare to have traffic like this. Although on the whole, it beats train and bus delays and waiting in the cold, windy, rainy weather. As for 'All You Need Is Now', I don't get to listen to anywhere near as much of anything lately, let alone cherry picking particular albums. I thought driving each day would change things, but it seems to have done the opposite. *sigh*

Yeah! Nick is a wiley ole bugger! ;) I used to commute via train until recently. It would have been perfect then. Now am driving everyday. I try to listen to music in the car, but because I usually have people in the car with me, it's difficult. They will insist on talking! Very annoying! lol ... And now at my work in my new office, my desktop has no speakers!!! I shall have to buy speakers. ... And yes! my new avatar! what do you think, does it suit me? ;)

It's certainly news to me. I didn't know they were back in the studio. Although i'm not sure if the Ronson collaboration is a good one. I've still not listened to the last album since the first time properly... lol :) hmmm... no idea about this Nick & Warren side project either! Too electronic you say?!? hi, thnx for the comment and trying the app out, glad you like it. there is only one ranking for all amounts (I should make different ranking lists for different amounts but I don't have the time..). also, rankings are not automatically updated. they only get updated at the time someone submits his username. also, after lot of testing, I realized that the final score is much more precise at higher amounts, so this is what I did there (it's a description from the website): "Once a score gets recorded, a newer score can only be recorded if its amount is the same or higher than previously". That is because higher amounts give more precise scores. The app is far from perfect I know :) I made it just to visualize my listening habits and decided to share it with others, but there is still room for improvement hehe.

Yes! I know it's a little unusual... although perhaps less so in this day and age. I work every sunday. I love pasta! I grew up on it thanks to my dads love for most things Italian :) And you're right, it is a versatile food. I had lasagne yesterday... lol ... Oh! Well I obviously love pasta dishes... Pizza (al forno is best;) , all the cakes and ice-creams are amazing! Plus I like how they prepare their meat and fish dishes. ..... hmmm, I am starting to feel hungry...

Wow! Now you're just showing off... lol ... I already have problems making the salad :P I have no idea what i'll be having today... I'll see what bits and pieces I have in the kitchen when i return from work. It'll probably be Pasta, again! lol

Agreed! :) ... Oh! I do cook for myself, but only simple things that anyone could do... I have a very limited repertoire ;) ... I need to expand my knowledge and skills. I very seldom eat in restaurants here, only if meeting with friends. I don't like take aways either... perhaps a pizza every couple of months, but that's about it :) So what's your speciality? do you cook more Italian or French cuisine? ... Yes! I've heard a little about the troubles in Italy of late. It seems to be spreading from one country to the next. But really disturbing that it's happening there. I hope they can recover the situation soon... Times appear to be getting harder everywhere! So much for humans being the smartest of all creatures! ... Oh! I wish I could cook, but it's hard to find the time to learn when you work 6 days a week. I'll definitely let you know what i think of Spotify once i've started using it. Although i'm not sure I could tolerate ads between songs! ... That would drive me insane... lol :)

Agreed! It would be good if they could agree with Andy to release the tracks they recorded together before the split. To compare it to what the four released since the split would be most fascinating. But more importantly I just want the original five playing some good Duran Duran music :) Haha... yes! I take it you know Italy rather well? I'm mad about the food there... lol ... It was my second time in Sorrento, the last being over 20 years ago. I loved it back then too. Oh! I was on a boat trip that stopped by Positano, but I decided to continue to Amalfi. Perhaps next time :) I'm getting a little more curious about All You Need Is Now... hehe. Yeah! The Andy thing is pretty telling as far as i'm concerned. The balance is not right without him. But I get the impression a major falling out happened between him and the others, especially as i've noticed some really negative reactions and comments from the other guys in interviews when Andys name comes up. So I can't see him coming back ever. A big shame... oh well. As for RCM, I think it's easily their worst album. Others that were heavily criticized had at least some redeaming features with a good song here or there. But I found nothing on RCM for myself. It just doesn't sound Duran Duran at all!!!

I've not been to a concert in years... I always find out about them too late and it's all sold out by then. Anyway, these days i'd have to go on my own... as my friends seem to have lost all taste for good music in their old age... They prefer to watch mind numbing rubbish on tv such as X-Factor *pukes* lol

I was in Sorrento... a beautiful place! :) Hmmm... I am almost ashamed to say it, but I have not yet heard All You Need Is Now! ... I keep forgetting to give it a proper listen. I listen to so much other music it's difficult. I hated RCM so much that it put me off listening to any new material... lol I guess we're Duranies with very opposing DD tastes! I'm way too old school and much prefer their old new wave, synth-pop rock, new romantic albums. I just remember listening to RCM a few times and found myself disliking it more and more, so gave up. I don't like when DD collaborate with other artists, they seem to lose their identity... IMHO. The loss of Andy Taylor is a big deal if you ask me. They need his rock edge. Even getting Warren back would be an improvement. But i'll try to get round to giving the new album a go sometime soon... I ahev heard that many people prefer it to RCM, so that's a good start ;) So what's your take on it?
