Hi Luiza! What's up at your ends? I've just seen that Patrick is back on stage in Mtl Dec 16, unfortunately at Metropolis. I don't like this venue. i'm going to the gig anyway, but I want him to do also smaller venues. Divan orange was soooo fantastic... Cheers.

He has a son -during the gig he said for one of the songs: 'this is for my son'. Beirut? Lucky you! My list isn't bad either... Fleet foxes, Passion pit... ah also Osheaga festival coming up. We're having a one louzy summer in Montreal :( i hope there'll be a bit of sunshine during the festival. Cheers.

hi luiza, what's up? i have to tell you this: i've discovered yesterday that patrick watson lives right in my neighbourhood -just few minutes from my place! i was having a drink on a terrace and guess what, he walked by and entered his place with his girlfriend and holding his baby in his arms. It was very sweet. i already liked my neighbourhood, now i adore ;-)

Hi! :) I'm doing veeeeryy well, especially after the great concert by Beirut! It was truly magical, I almost shed a tear when they started playing Postcards of Italy :') And my friend and I had the best spots: right in front of Mr. Condon :D Especially towards the end they really made a party (Zach was a bit tipsy I think, haha); they sang Brasil, only a bit different and Siki Siki Baba at the end, which is a Trukish song I think? And it was so beautiful when Zach played The Penalty by himself on his ukelele :o Ooohh and Nantes... I'm still floating on a cloud :) Anyway, how are you?? I haven't looked at the album yet, kept forgetting it and have been pretty busy. Plus my computer is acting really weird lately :S Well, in a few hours I'm going to see Andrew Bird, again at the same venue as Beirut. I'm so excited :D Have you already listened to some of his stuff? I'll let you know how it went ;) x

Maybe you try to buy it by via amazon.ca or amazon.com???. I don't think it'll come with lyrics -he's not very much into that, but sure, I'll let you know.

Oh, this is very sweet of you to propose, but nevermind, I'll buy their album anyway it's released in Canada. I'll do it this weekend (during the gig, I couldn't move to buy -my spot was incredible so I didn't dare to move ;-) I'm sure it's again a wonderful song (the bonus track)

No, no females at the concert ;-) he sang alone that song, which was great too. You're sooo right to be totally into the new album, the more I listen, the more fond I grow of it...

I'm sure of the Great Escape -will try to find the setlist -I was sooo carried away... Also he sang a French song for his hometown. His singing French is undecipherable but who cares ;-)

It was sooooooooooo great! I can't describe -his new album is great but on stage, he's truly mind blowing -Beijing was a blast with all violins and all, Wooden Arms such intimacy. He smiles and laughs to himself, enjoys so much what he does, it's contagious, you smile and laugh with him. He carried dozens of speakers mounted on his back and came in the middle of the public for two songs... I hate taking pictures (flashes and all) during the gigs but this was truly a moment I would have seized... I'm so in love with his music and how he is on stage. I want to go and see again today but it's sold out...

Hi! Sorry for my extreeemely late reply :$ But I'm fine, thanks. How about you? Did you enjoy your holiday :)? Yeah, those files really are too big to send it by email (or you have to do it song after song, but that's not that practical, haha) MSN is a bit faster indeed:) I'll add you sometime this week ;) Oh, and PS: I think I'm finally really getting into Patrick Watson's new album :o It's so beautiful and all the songs fit perfectly together :) x

ok, those are some pretty awesome artists. especially radiohead! would love to see them some time. yeah, it's a shame that you don't get to see less famous, but really good artists as patrick watson and beirut.. you should tell every one over there about them, haha :) maybe they'll get some recognition then :p and about the album: that's fine, I'm glad enough you're willing to send it. take your time, haha. and enjoy your holiday! cheers

Aww, I feel bad for you :( Do any good artists ever come to Brazil?:o Haha, concertwise I'm feeling kinda lucky I live in the Netherlands :) I've only travelled twice abroad to see a band play, and Europe isn't that huge as well, so that makes it easier. Yeeah, if you could send the album, that would be great :o Thanks a lot! I'll PM you my adress :)

Wauw, it really sucks you didn't get to see him in Canada :| Although travelling to another country to see him play could also be nice. Like a mini vacation or something :p The only problem is that it could turn out quite expensive, haha. I only got hold of a few song from his previous albums; esp. like Mary and Just Another Ordinary Day :) Yeah, may is gonna be like, the holy month this year for me :D Can't wait to see Beirut, Andrew Bird and Patrick Watson(again :p) Do you know Andrew Bird? That man is a genius! His songs are so lovely. And I'll definitely let you know how the concerts went:) Only a few weeks left :D! x

Yeah, Amsterdam is a pretty cool city, but it's a shame that they're busy building stuff everywhere (I think a tunnel for a subway or something..) so the city doesn't look as nice as it should :p Wow, Sao Paolo, that sounds cool! Do you also celebrate those famous carnivals there :)? Nice that the weather isn't too hot over there though. Haha, in Holland the cool weather is okay I guess, but it also rains a LOT. so that sucks, haha:p It's a shame that Patrick Watson isn't very well known in Brazil, cause he's soo so good live! For some reason he's pretty well known in Holland, so he comes here a lot :) And about the new album, I don't know yet.. I really love Big Bird in a Small Cage, Man like you and Wooden Arms. Some songs are a bit more experimental, but I think they just need a few more listens for me to appreciate them :) For now, I also prefer Close to Paradise, but we'll wait and see. Do you by any chance know the first two albums? They're so hard to find! :o Cheers!

I live somewhere in the central part of the Netherlands, but the whole country is so small that practicly every city is close to Amsterdam :p In my case it's only a 40-minute train ride away ;) And where in Brazil are you from? Seems to me such a nice place to live with that tropical weather :) yeah, Patrick Watson is great. especially live :) you like the new album?

Hey there, how are you? THEY (RH) are coming to Brazil pretty soon! Do you have your tickets? Friends from Mexico city told me that they totally rocked the place Sunday and yesterday... Set list with 25 songs and guess what, yesterday they ended with Creep -pretty unexpected...

You mean RH have a gig in Vancouver? When exactly? But you know a ticket from Montreal to Vancouver is as expensive as flying to Europe, so. Best gigs I have been besides RH last year and this year: Sigur Ros, Beck (MGMT), Hercules and Patrick Watson -and I have put the list of upcoming gigs on my page (events). What about you?
Actions
-
moraggunn1
Yes, yes! I'm pretty crazy about RH: last year was great -I could see them twice: in Paris and in Montreal. Please share your impression after the gig. I heard that they will play new stuff in Mexico gigs. I so would like to go and see them again. It was UNBELIEVABLE!

they were really cool in that intimate environment of Divan orange. Well, no information on their website on the date of a new release, but judging by the number of new songs they played that day, I bet it won't be late...I'll feed you if I find news about that
