"390 skull army and 8000 facebook fans we have 70 backers so far", damn... never thought of it that way, seems waaaaay to few backers. Smh, people are cheap.

Nice one on posting the kickstarter for Viking Skull's Chapter III. We need some more pledges, it's a matter of RIP or RIFF at this point.

Well, it's good to be open-minded. ;) My thoughts exactly about Nightwish. Floor's voice fits the band like a glove. Though, it's sad that the drummer Jukka Nevalainen had to take a break because of his health condition (serious insomnia). Luckily, another great drummer, Kai Hahto of Wintersun is replacing him.

Funny thing is I've started listening to metal with Metallica but now I barely listen to them. The rest of the "Big Four" or anything similar sounds okay to me. Amon Amarth! Aren't they awesome? Seen them live a few years ago. You should definitely catch them sometime! I remember hearing some songs of Amaranthe that I didn't like much. Maybe I'll give them another try. How do you find the metal scene in the UK?

Hehe, to be honest, I'm not surprised that you're not into SA. (Though, I'm sure they have some songs that anyone would like. :) ) I have a weird music taste when it comes to metal. I like a little bit of this and that, usually without getting stuck on a genre. I mostly enjoy folk/Swedish death/doom and symphonic, though. I like BTD and I'll check the other two soon, thanks for recommending ^^ Anything else? :D

I've never been such a big DT fan, so their newer records don't bother me as they bother you. :) But, yeah, I can relate to that. :/ Good that you enjoyed their show! Did they play many of their older stuff? I'd wish to see Insomnium and Eluveitie too. Sadly I haven't been to any concerts for a very long time. I think the last one was Sonata Arctica last year. I used to be a huge fan about 10 years ago. I still do appreciate their older stuff but haven't checked out their (relatively) newer recordings much. So, I was kind of lost when they played their new songs live. :) 10 years late, but it was definitely worth it!

Of course! Their music is so heavenly. BTW, have to tell that Lost To Apathy is one of my favorite DT songs. :) Been to any festivals/concerts lately?

Lol. I have listened to it many more times than it's shown on here (while driving, etc.) It's just too good, maybe that's why I'm stuck on it. You have great charts as well! Mind if I add you as a friend?

Aaah yeah, I'm only a 'maybe' for the Gaslight atm. Saw them last year and REALLY want to go again, but funds are low atm :( Boo! I'm a bit annoyed about Agalloch too! Luckily I saw them at their first gig in London are few years back (it was immense, sorry!) - If I had more pennies then I would definitely think about going to EUROPE to catch them again. Sigh!

Ahh Lullacry, I haven't listened to them in years... brings back memories (but will I still like them hmm)

Bad news eh? I think it is going to be too much of a trek to be honest mate. I live in Suffolk so it isn't a million miles away - it's just a lot of cash!

Ah. I hate most British things including the constant luzzing of plastic bottles at festivals here. You wouldn't see that once abroad.

I have been to the last two Soni's and they have been very good. I was a bit worried about this year's line up until yesterday's announcement which has improved it considerably. I went to Download a couple of times way back but it is a bit more of a trek and there tends to be more annoying kids about. Check out Hellfest.. that is a very cool festival. Third time for me this year :)

You still looking for a cheap place to stay for a night around Camden? I got a mate who travelled down to see Between the Buried and Me in July and they stayed in a hostel near to The Underworld and it was really cheap. I'm not sure of the details but he's on Last.fm so message him and I'm sure he'll give you the details. His username is AndrewTanner. Hope that helps :)

Since you came to last year's Femme Metal Festival, I thought you might enjoy a similar mini festival I'm putting on this year at the Asylum in Birmingham. We'll of course be playing alongside Esoterica, Pythia, Dyonisis, Exoterik and one more tbc. It's on Sunday 14 November, but if that doesn't work for you, we'll be playing a whole set of tour dates across the UK around that time! http://www.last.fm/festival/1635512+Defiance+Festival

Yeah good I'll get some. If you like emotional doom try out Warning. Their album "Watching from a Distance" is a masterpiece.

Yeah me too, I've never seen them live :( Ahh November's Doom, Into Night's Requiem Infernal was a brilliant record...I've never listened to Saturnus though. So many of the more obscure bands never bother coming to the UK. I mean you never have a problem seeing Metallica or Maiden live but when it comes to a band like Agalloch they just don't bother.

Yeah Stone Axe are awesome and cool I'll check them out. Yes it took me a long time to get into black metal, but now I love it. You have to start with the less raw bands then slowly get used to it and then you'll understand the beauty of it. If you like those bands and atmospheric black metal then I recommend you check out Altar of Plagues, Primordial and Forest of Fog - fantastic bands, they're also more melodic so easier to get into. Yeah everyone loves Agalloch.

Yeah I've also got their EP but I've never listened to either of them I'm sorry to say. Yeah I hate it when decent bands like that stop making music :( Yeah neofolk is good, the only ones I've listened to out of that list are Empyrium, Neun Welten and of course the incredible Nest. I love the atmosphere and calmness in most neofolk though.

Yeah and of course Alabama Thunderpussy. I love the Bitchwax though, their first two albums were some of the most incredible stoner I've heard in my life. I also love Clutch, their latest album was a monster.

Well mine is the original Chapter One. Their latest record is also awesome. Wow 10 times, I saw them once at a metal hammer gig. They absolutely rape live don't they?

If you're referring to Fireflight there, I wouldn't worry.. they didn't do it for me. I know what you mean though, sometimes even when the actual music's good, I still can't be doing with it, I don't actually understand the point of it, but then that's religion summed up entirely for me!? I think Billy Connolly summed it up pretty damn well. something along the lines of... "Christians shouldn't be allowed NEAR rock - it's not fucking FOR them!!" He knows what he's talking about <3
