yeah, i remember reading that on the Smiley Smile forums some years ago...really goes to show just how much attention to detail the Beach Boys once put into their recordings. isolate a backing vocal that barely registers during the tag it was written for and it winds up sounding good enough to be a lost SMiLE fragment...

Thank you for the kind words. It looks like you have pretty fantastic taste yourself. I love The Big Heat and Laura, and I'll have to watch the other noirs you listed. As for DeLillo, I've only read Underworld and Cosmopolis but I intend to read everything he's written at some point. The first 30ish pages of Underworld contain some of the most imaginative, breathtaking prose I've ever read. The whole novel is rife with huge ideas.

you're 100% right about their catalogue. the reason for my having so few scrobbles of BBs material is that at the computer i mostly listen to stuff that is new to me, bands i haven't tried yet or LPs by loved artists i haven't listened to yet. and yes, of course there's always vinyl spins that cannot be scrobbled.
