You should check out "Death By Unga Bunga" at Blå. Fun pop/rock music. I think that's the best option you have in Oslo tomorrow night. If you decide to go, have fun! https://www.facebook.com/deathbyungabunga/app_2405167945 http://www.blaaoslo.no/arrangementer/19-mai-i-death-by-unga-bunga/

Haha just checking. It would have been awkward if it turned out that your roommate accidentally scrobbled her favorite cd while you were out. Your el salvador trip must have been incredible. My roommate frequents the Dominican Republic - even going in with an open heart, he always comes back changed. Love it. Its funny, I can't exactly relate to your specific experience, but in my own I've always thought of our good friends Sigur Rós as appropriate music to highlight such experiences. That of which words can't keep pace with.

Cool - what brought you to El salvador? Haha, you totally sneaked a trip to another country in between our little last fm chat. I haven't really listened to his new stuff, but Gungor's previous project, (Michael Gungor Band) has some great stuff too. We all grew up in the same church / played together here in MI. They've since moved out of state, but I'm always glad to see them get around. They're a little out there sometimes but I feel like they're underrated.

Yea, I've been looking for an excuse to visit anywhere outside of the usa these days. Pairs would be so nice, especially if you know someone there you can hang with. What a great deal! You should go for it! Australia has been calling my name, but maybe I'll have to visit ACL first. I was just checking out the line up when you mentioned that. It looks pretty good this year. Also, I have to mention that your "Recently Listened Tracks" caught my eye today. I see you've checked out Gungor - do you like them??

Yes, I feel the same. I think the next show I go to will have to be a totally different genera, so I'm not feeling let down. My friend wants to go to Way Out West in Sweden. Obviously visiting the Swedes would be worth the trip itself. That's in August though, just enough time to save some $ for it. I'd really love to see Phoenix or M83 this summer - just need to find some usa dates. Austin is a great great city I've heard. ACL is just one of many events there yea?

They had everyone who showed up early line up on the roof terrace. The line went up to a second floor balcony thing and back down and around. The end of the line wound up at the beginning again. Instead of respecting the line, the people directing the line just up and left, so 100 or so people cut me in line, when I had been there an hour or two before them! It's not an awful venue, but I won't go early again because they're too stupid to think of a queue.

The Jonsi Show! I can't even begin to describe this amazing live experience. I was expecting a great show... and instead, this show took all of my previous expectations and redefined them in the greatest way possible. I am still reflecting on the experience! The best way to describe it is that is was a "3 dimensional" show. Musically, everything was exactly according to the album and then up a level. Jonsi's voice is absolutely flawless live. The lighting was excellent - the rig features about 2 dozen movers - all timed and executed perfectly in sync with each song. No flash and trash here. Now, the "3rd dimension", the stage itself. I don't want to spoil it for you! ..but it exponentially increases the dynamic emotion of the whole show. I guess in summery, expect the tastefulness of Jonis's work - its not overdone - just very rich for those who can appreciate it. Wheew - that was long .. sorry if its an overload! I greatly wish to go again.

Man, I really need to see Sigur Ros live again! I've been working out a plan to go to Iceland here sometime. I guess the frozen lakes of MI will have to do for now. I think tickets aren't too expensive, around 1000 or so. I might try to grow a beard first, so I will fit in with the locals, haha

Nice! I wish I could go to nyc to see Jonsi, but I'm way closer (Michigan) to chi town. The new album will definitely at least be accompanying me to work... If I was taking off work to listen to it, I would want to be flying over icebergs or mountains or sitting in a forest or something like that! ha
