Yeah Rokatone, I have only heard a handful of songs from them. What I have heard I like.

you do realize that this is the seventh sign of gehenna, don't you? the fact that i've apparently heard slackers-related material that you have not. :)

i love TAL too... but sometimes it gets *really* depressing. good thing I have the (mostly) complete discography of both Chris Murray and The Slackers on the same iPod. Chris is currently on tour and on 9/29 was in Thunder Bay, ON, which is about a 7 hour drive from Minneapolis... so tempting!!!

Chicago Public Radio = This American Life. I listen to it while on walks with June. And she *loves* rockabye baby! We've got some NIN and Ramones, but mostly The Cure.

New Slackers?!?! Woo Hoo!!!! I'm totally getting that today! Thanks for letting me know! I'd never have known otherwise, as my life is pretty consumed by baby. :)

awesome. I've been pretty pbsessed with the aggrolites lately too. I just saw them play with the dropkick murphys the other night and I have to say they may be the best live band I've ever seen. As for the slackers, they're my favorite anyway ha. You've got great music taste yourself.

Hah hah! I was the #1 Chris Murray fan last week! Rule! (Also, in what is probably the sixth sign of Gehenna, I listened to more Slackers than you!!!)

I've got one King Apparatus... Marbles. It's alright... I dig his solo stuff WAY more, though.

Totally. I got Slackness and Raw (which I'd avoided due to being recorded on a freaking WALKMAN), and then I got the rest of 4-track and venice shoreline... I only had a few of his songs before. I must collect them all! :)

Apparently, Chris Murray collaborated with the Slackers to produce an album... called Slackness! This was news to me... anyway, you can get it here: http://www.unstrictlyroots.com/
