I left Toronto near the end of June, the past few months have been weird, catching up with friends and moving back home. I very much miss Toronto. Is Devon doing just solo shows now then? Awesome that he's still making music. My big aim is to make Groezrock fest in Belgium next year again since Lagwagon are playing, just so I can feel 15 again. Descendents at nxne June 16th!!!! I never thought I'd get the chance to see them live.

The Bouncing Souls are playing Toronto the night before HWM for NXNE. Face to Face are playing Toronto on May 12th, it's going to be incredible. I finally get to see them do a headline show, I'm so happy. May and June are great months for gigs.

I'm thinking of just going to the festival in Quebec now as NOFX, TBR and Descendents are playing! Hot Water Music are playing London, ON in June so I expect a Canadian tour also. Hopefully, a Toronto date when I'm still here.

Oh wow! I had no idea Lifetime were playing Pouzzafest! Some good bands playing and I'd love to visit Montreal. It's tempting to say the least. I'm not sure if you're a fan but Bad Astronaut are playing Toronto in May. Jon Snodgrass is supporting.

Are you a fan of the band Mixtapes? They are playing Toronto on May 14th, venue TBA. But they are touring Canada with Dear Landlord so fingers crossed.

So Dear Landlord have a few TBA dates on their Canadian tour near the end of May, fingers crossed for Toronto.

From their Facebook page "currently booking dates in Europe from April 8th through May 1st, followed by Eastern U.S. and Canada for the rest of May, stoked!" So, I'm guessing something will be announced in the coming weeks. Stoked to say the least, I'm dying to hear some new material.

Yeah, I only made one of Toronto shows depsite having tickets for both. I felt a little ill on Sunday so skipped out. However, I was only going for MBWML and Menzingers. I can't understand how Fake Problems are so popular. The Suicide Machines are playing Toronto at the end of the month. But I don't feel 17 or like ska all that much these days. They have some good hardcore songs though.

Mockingbird were really good last night, as were Menzingers. They played Lilith Avi! Didn't stick around for much of Flatliners since I had work today, and oh yes.... Fake Problems are still incredibly dull.

Yeah, as long as things go well on the job front I'll be here well into next year. New Tigers Jaw record is out, it's pretty short but it's sounding really good after repeated listens. Such a good band.

I only keep in touch via punknews largely. I'm really excited for the gigs next month as it'll give me something to look forward to leading up to Christmas. As I know full well I'm spending Christmas and New Years in Toronto, which is both good and bad. I knew this was a likely scenario so I'm okay with it. I'll probably buy a load of Mockingbird and Menzingers stuff at the show.

I've done the same in respect of ignoring Fake Problems. I'm kinda bored of bands doing the whole folk/punk sound outside of a select few of course. I think they only had 3 weeks to book and promote the Fucked Up show as I'm sure they were meant to support Against Me! in Europe at the time before they cancelled all of their shows for this year. (I'd hate to see them break up). I've decided to attend both Toronto shows purely so I can get a sore throat singing along to The Menzingers and finally seeing Mockingbird Wish Me Luck live.

Yeah, I forgot about the other dates being they'd be closer for you. I'm so happy to be seeing The Menzingers again, although I'm really not bothered about Fake Problems. I haven't listened to them since '08 but they have to be one of the most boring bands I've seen live. I caught them live twice when they supported Smoke or Fire's UK tour. Halloween was good thanks, I dressed up as Brodie from Mallrats (nobody got the reference). I went to see Fucked Up's halloween show, it was crazy. Half their set were grunge covers, which was pretty surreal.

Flatliners/Fake Problems/Menzingers/Mockingbird Wish Me Luck Sneaky Dee's on December 17th and 19th. If you can make either. Cracking lineup.

Pretty much Love Ire & Song and Poetry of the Deed heavy, although the new songs sounded decent. The new NMB record has some sweet hooks and melodies weren't really there on the last album plus I'm just a big fan of Jason's vocals, so for me them making music again is no bad thing. Although, File Under Black is still the best of the three. Such an amazing record.
