Ah good to hear :) I saw him in 2009 at a local festival. He had injured his ankle somehow before the tour so he was on crutches but he still managed to put on an amazing show. You should check out Fanfarlo and Destroyer, I think you might like them!

riverwest just had their charitable "riverwest fest". i'm sure you've heard... suffice to say, I did not attend =(. Mostly because I'm only 20 and because Fable & the world flat and Jackraasch didn't play (there's two mke recommendations right there). Other notables include John the savage (i'm not a huge fan, but theyre decent), Fahri, Brief Candles.... just keep your eyes peeled! i plug Jackraasch wayyyy too much so make sure you check them out... theyre a duo in the vein of early built to spill, black keys and dylan, who take their cues from early 90's lo-fi indie pop with heartwarming soul-wrenching charm. ahhhhhh!

oh wow! baltimore, maryland must be amazing. wye oak, beach house, dan deacon? oh -- i didn't go the national show. truth be told i haven't even heard their newest album. ben into ther stuff/ chill wave hahaha. whats your next show? into any local bands? (mke or perhaps balt. bands that are good but not known outside the area?)
