Are you excited for the new Modest Mouse? Lampshades of Fire sounded so generic and bland that I was ready to pass on the album entirely. However, the four other singles (how many more are they going to release lol?) picked up and I really love The Best Room, Coyotes, Of course we know. I think you may enjoy these two French bands: Sage (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnKoJWKJAXo) and The Callstore's Save No One (who is like a French version of The National ;))

I just found out about the Fanfarlo show...the original plan was to leave for Area 4 that night though. I hope I can find another way to get there and see Fanfarlo. Have you seen them live yet? I'd love to see the New Pornographers and the National. Still need to get their new albums.

Love the Yeasayer album - (got a bit obsessed with Red Madder for a while) Listen to Beach House a good lot too. She & Him - like their sound, LCD SS never gave them a whole lot of time but like what I've hear from the latest album. Broken Bells & BSS I've been liking a lot too. Ah 90's nostalgia - I was down that road last week - Stone Roses got a good airing among others. On a different note Villagers - Becoming a Jackal is a really good album.

Not at all cheesy. The album is amazing. In my opinion, it is the best album that has been released this year. I cannot imagine anything being any better.I wasn't sure if they could top themselves with this release, but they sure did!
