Pre HTD Nandos? Saw the Swellers at Groez, Notts and Fest last year, so good each time.

Pyramid scheme? I hear those are foolproof! Really looking forward to seeing The Swellers again, I only caught the end of their set at Fest :( They might even be playing some new stuff on this tour.

Awesome, glad you had a blast, Groezrock is probably the best festival in Europe. Really gutted I couldn't go this year as I badly wanted to see Face to Face. Next year is the 20th anniversary so I expect big things. I'll try and go if I'm back from Canada in time.

It's damned lucky compared to anything I can find! Other people apparently aren't getting it any better at the moment either. I'd imagine flying London to Newcastle might be pretty expensive. Would probably be better to train it on the young persons railcard. Looks like I'm flying from Manchester myself, then training it out of Brussels. I'm also travelling on me tod, so it should be a bit of an adventure. Thankfully, I already know the local area a bit as I used to camp there when I was younger, and also speak a bit of the lingo :)

Haha, I'm actually from further up north, but it's often easier to get to Birmingham then work it out from there. I might be able to fly from Manchester though, which I'm still looking at. You must have got lucky with the Eurostaror something, I can't find an outgoing for less than 65 quid - coming back it's no better. Whoever told you EasyJet had deals on was lying - they don't fly to Belgium from the UK! Either way, I think there's a good chance I'll fly. Either that or use the railcard to get as far down south as possible before joining the Eurostar...

I think both Geel and Meerhout are both in the same province of Antwerp. Either way they are only about 20-25 minutes apart. There is a Spar very close to the campsite if you want to stock up on supplies before you enter. I'm pretty sure there are shower facilities at a certain end of the campsite, you exchange cash for food and drink tokens. There are plenty of food options, including breakfast foods, Chinese, fast food and veggie options. There is a tent for merch for the bands playing on each day and a general massive merch tent selling vinyl/CDs, clothes etc. I assume like previous years there will be bands doing meet & greets also.

Hey dude, Looks like you're going to Groezrock. I'm looking at booking myself now - I'll also be travelling out of Birmingham. Have you booked anything yet? I haven't found anything for less than £100 yet, Eurostar or flights wise D:

Personally I find the Eurostar the easiest way to get to the festival. As your Eurostar ticket on the day of issue gets you to any train station in Belgium. The route is easy you'll need to get from Brussels > Antwerp > Geel. Word of warning the free buses to the campsite get incredibly cramped, if you can, get a taxi to the campsite as it's relatively cheap with enough people. You can't take beer into the arena but you'll allowed it in the campsite, I highly recommend a Belgian beer called Kriek( it's cherry fermented beer).

heyy, yu ok? saw yr message on the groezrock forum - me and my mate from near birmingham went last year and are going again this year. we are doing a round trip - amsterdam, belgium, germany. btw, you will be suprised how many british people are there. last year i was randomly chatting to someone in the que who id never seen before and it turned out he lived down the road from me n half the people i went to school with. small world. xx

I've been to Groezrock the past two years. I have to say it's one amazing festival. The atmosphere is really relaxed and it attracts people all over Europe. Most people there know English as a second or third language so I've many random conversations with Dutch, Belgium and German people. How are you getting to the festival? By Eurostar or something else?
