Hi Klaus, what is wrong with your old monitors? I am using Yamaha MSP5 Studio monitors with a SW10 Studio sub-woofer. Together with a pair of Sennheiser 280 Pro headphones and 3 other speaker combinations for cross referencing! I am extremely happy with the Yamaha's; but they have to be positioned properly to get the best sound. Neuman are excellent at producing quality equipment, but why do you want to upgrade so drastically. Have you pinpointed where the production inefficiencies are, if any, other than reproduction. Getting the mix right may require EQ, adding atmosphere with different reverbs or player input! Answering your question is difficult, but Neuman are an excellent choice! As for myself, i am mainly practicing on my guitars, I have 19 now. I am practicing with hard rock, jazz, folk, blues and/or mixing them together! I have not produced any new recordings for a few months, although I will start soon. The weather here is very hot to mild to warm, a great mix :-)

Hi Klaus, thanks for dropping by! Yes, everything is going very well, i have around 10 new music videos now and the playing is very good; including the timing and rhythm. Which is now perfect! I also have 16 professional guitars, including 7 Fender Stratocasters and a Gibson Les Paul Custom now. So i am practicing and playing with new ideas all the time.The music so far ranges from electronic, Jazz, to the classically inspired to heavy and very fast blues rock! i am using my arsenal of drum computers for the drums and percussion, with some of the units going through Addictive Drums! Yes, i know that they are not KICK DRUM, but I call them KLIK TRAK! I hope you are alright and not working too much in a stressed situation; how is your music going my friend? Hallo Klaus, i hope you are fine and productive. i am still playing the keyboard, guitar and going to the University for my exercises with the exercise physiologists. i have bought a huge collection of software instruments; everything from libraries of classic synthesizers to orchestral instruments. i am also working on my album and videos! i really miss your drumming, but que sera sera! Yes Klaus, Addictive 1 is great, but it's something like 6 years old and the snare sounds were starting to get on my nerves. But any way enjoy! I have come up with 7 new compositions, but they are electronic, psychedelic in nature. Although I have added real choirs, saxophone, string sections and grand piano's! I am using drum samples and electronic drums in a varied non repetitive rhythmic formats. It sounds like Wagner on L.S.D. or sound tracks to a movie??? I am very happy with the results; the sound quality is great!!!! I will get back to rock music a little later. I am having problems getting the sound I want from my guitars on the recordings! I am very happy that you are getting into the production side of recordings....Karl :-)

Oh, Addictive drums no.1 sounds much more boring and unimaginative, compared to the brilliantly revamped ADD2. Best wishes!

When you upgrade to ADDICTIVE 2, you still get to keep ADDICTIVE 1, you get both! Plus the ADD PACKS are great; if you read the description for FAIRFAX 1. you may be put off, due to the Grunge music connotations. But actually it is brilliant, you get many great textures and sounds! The Add pack for Rock Drums, Retro and Jazz are great as well! I am sure all the ADD packs are great! I also totally upgraded my arsenal of keyboard sounds, with huge libraries of real sounds of piano's, Organs, Choirs, Orchestra's and everything in between, around, below and above. Also a huge range of synthesizer sound and manipulation possibilities; it's now unbelievably easy to play keyboard parts! Also, the sound quality is absolutely professional, like in an expensive studio! There is an old saying....a ship is safe in a harbour, but it was designed for the sea; or life is too short to waste on being safe. Get on the edge, you're unlikely to fall!

Well the charts work through popularity; which should be obvious! Plus you get royalties and a boost in album sales and song sales. Now the former has improved although he latter is still struggling. Plus the results get shown through social media; for instance i have over 1,500 Face Book acquaintances, 3 of my own Internet sites and 3 other internet sites that I share with other media. i also have over 50 distribution outlets over the Internet, including Amazon.com, Apple iTunes and Spotify! I also studied marketing and advertising at college for 6 years, I admit that there is room for improvement. But there is merit to my procedures, my father died in 1966, my brother fought in the Australian Army in Vietnam and killed himself due to post traumatic stress disorder and my mother recently died, plus a number of my friends committed suicide.The world is basically screwed and downright negative. I totally and absolutely refuse to give up, no matter what!!! Karl :-)

Hi Klaus, I just thought you might want to know thatwe fell back to 22 in the charts, but went back to 20. we are now 21 in Melbourne and 103 in Australia! I also upgraded to Addictive Drums 2 and bought another Ad pack the 'Fairfax Vol.1' which is brilliant, I also have the add for Rock drums and Retro which I bought years ago! I also bought about $3000.00 worth of synthesizers and samplers. My aim is to have a great little studio and practice room for Multimedia recording and production! I am half way through 6 new compositions; they are all in time but am not sure until I finish whether they will be cohesive? I am working on composition and melody/harmony! Anyhow have a great Friday and weekend.....oh, I forgot to mention that we are number 4,320 in the world as far as the charts go. That's not bad considering some of the songs were written and recorded in 1985 and 86!!!!!

Hi Klaus, I thought you would like to know that we are now number 35 in Melbourne and 178 for Australia; the music charts that is! I have also bought a mountain of synthesizers and sound samplers. Hi Klaus; yes, everything is going well. I just recently bought some new studio monitors and am remixing all of my songs and videos, as well as the output that we did together! I bought a pair of Yamaha MSP5 powered studio monitors and will soon get a Yamaha powered SW10 sub woofer! Yes, they are expensive, but Yamaha have been the producer of the famous NS10 for around 30 years. These monitors were the standard for professional studio use! So, basically everything on the MANIC SURGE, You Tube site will be scrapped and replaced! I have also started to sort through a collection of electronic music that I have created. When I was a teenager i was a huge fan of Krafwork and Walter Carlos; I started using synthesizers in the late 1970;s! So how are you and your recordings going? I have sorted out the problems that i had with latest version of Sonar Producer; as far as what happens next, I will just have to wait and see? Hi Klaus. The Last FM shout box just started to work again! The monitors look to be very good; also they are priced very well. I have all my keyboards working now, but have not had the time to play them yet. Also, there seems to be a problem of over a dozen Italian motorcycle boots being in my way; I can't get to my keyboards; I don't know where the boots came from???? They are worth $600 or $700 each pair! Hmmmmmm? Yes, I am still installing software, much of it I am very acquainted with, others will probably take me month's to learn. I am also planning on going back to College next year to study a science course. To think that some people turn to drugs and alcohol when a very special loved one dies; I turned to losing over 20kg of weight, exercise (martial arts), buying 2 motorcycles and 12 pairs of Italian boots, buying over 10,000 euro of computer software, a $3,600 guitar, a second Hi Fi system, and now I am going back to College to study science! What next???? Marriage.....HELP!!

It's great to hear from you Klaus; I am still having problems with the new SONAR PRODUCER. But, I found a program called 'Session Drummer', that comes with it. Similar to Addictive Drums, but it has less "fancy" add-ons! I can use it with my main MIDI keyboard; on the keys and it also has finger pads for drum playing! But, it will never compete with a real drummer! As for music, I still practice on the guitar and now on my keyboards as well. As soon as I figure out how to get to the main audio sub sections, I will get you something happening. I am starting to relax a little now! Since my mothers death things have been just totally "CRAZY"!!!!.........................................KARL :-)

Hi Klaus. I just got the Last.FM scrobbler to work in media player; it still does not work in Media Monkey? There is a BUG! I am still installing software, it may take another 2, 3 or 4 weeks! I am installing everything from computer programing software to 3D animation/modelling software. Also AutoCad and the entire Adobe collection, next it will be the world!!! G'day Klaus. Yes, I am OK. I am in the process of buying specialist recording equipment and a another computer; a super powerful workstation! I also bought a second motorcycle, I don't drive cars, I think that they are dangerous and slow! The new motorcycle can take me over nearly every terrain; bush, road, long distance and is excellent for the city. I can take short-cuts through parks. etc! I also bought another guitar, a Fender Stratocaster Select, it's the best new Strat that you can buy, apart from the Fender Custom Shop guitars! I hope you and your family, especially your father are alright! If you want, I will send you another attempt at a song or idea soon?.............Karl :-) Oh, it's still hot here! "Transatlantic"???? It's been great to listen to all of these styles. Also, last night i was going through my guitar collection and found a brand new guitar that I bought online from a store in Brooklyn, New York. I bought it about 2 years ago and have played it only a few times, I forgot that I had it. It's actually a brilliant guitar; Xmas has come early for me!!!!
