The LC concert was amazing. One of the most memorable I've ever seen. I think this could possibly be the best touring band Cohen has ever performed with -- everyone gave a fantastic performance. One song I got to see that wasn't on the DVD/CD was "Waiting for the Miracle," which was a treat. It had a darker, more menacing sound to it, which I liked a lot. During the intermission I bought a Songs of Love and Hate T-shirt since that's my favourite of his albums. It was a great night.

Don't know if Peter Gabriel is a genius, but he's significant and that's enough for me. Nice charts by the way...

I'm still a relatively new fan, I started listening to early Genesis last year and quickly progressed onto listening to Peter's solo work. I already knew 'Solsbury Hill' 'Games Without Frontiers' and 'Sledgehammer' and loved them but I've discovered so much since! his music is just wonderful and he's an incredible performer and inspiration to us all :)

Hi Keymoon! thanks for writing back, if I have great taste then you must have too seeing as we like so many of the same things! ;) I got my Gabrielese nickname from the South Bank show on the making of Peter's 4th album where he described his vocal samples as Gabrielese! I just really liked the sound of it and thought I'd steal it haha. So how long have you been a fan of the wonderful PG?

Hi, about Bergen it was just a guess as by the time I found your profile you were listening to Grieg. I really enjoyed Norway, though it is as differentt from my native country as can be. Where there is organisation and peace in the north there is diversity and babilonesque confusion in my native land, though I suppose we can be considered quite friendly. Nevertheless the Norwegians I met during my stay in the fjord and then in Bergen where pretty nice and friendly either, only a bit shy at the beggining. I think there is nice people all over, it's only difficult to meet them.

Bergen is a beautiful town, spent september there and the fjords north of Knarvik are beautiful. I got lucky with the weather as it didn't rain so much and found everything to be very nice and well taken care.greetings from the south.

På den medföljande gratis-cd:n olika mer eller mindre kända artister som gör covers på LC:s sånger. Allt från riktigt bra till riktigt hemskt! Tänk att jag har så svårt för Nick Cave!

Hej! Det är LC-fest i min CD-spelare! Nya cd: Various positions, Recent Songs, New Skin for the Old Ceremony och Cohen live (LC in Concert) . Betalade 65 NOK per styck! Ummm, Who by Fire är sannerligen en sång med en text som fastnar. Många av mina favoritartister är från Kanada...

Har letat efter New Skin for the Old Ceremony i flera skivbutiker efter det du skrev om Who by Fire, men cd'n är utgången/slutsåld. Ska leta vidare i skivbutiker som säljer begagnat... Var det hiten First We Take Manhattan som fick dig att upptäcka LC? Jag tror att en hel generation nya lyssnare hittade fram till LC genom albumet I'm Your Man...

Hej! Ikväll har jag varit på en konsert med den japanska jazzpianisten Yoshiko Kishino på Blue Note här i Tokyo. Och i fredags var jag på en kosert med en salig blandning: först covers på Simon&Garfunkel-låtar, sedan japansk progg-folkmusik från 70-talets början, sist italiensk barockmusik, bland annat Vivaldis De fyra årstiderna!

Ahhh, Leonard Cohen, ja... I somras köpte jag hans tre första album (Songs of LC, Song from a room, Songs of love and hate), så jag har lyssnat mycket på hans musik sedan dess. Länge hade jag bara den fantastiska "The best of LC" (1975), men kände att jag ville ha mer. Har du hört Peter Gabriels version av "Suzanne"?
