Hey! Yes, I'm a big fan of a lot of different Japanese music. Mainly the garage rock scene, but also a lot of film soundtracks, people like Jo Hisaishi and Kenji Kawai. I also like more traditional Japanese music like shakuhachi(?). I think it's the amount of passion that modern japanese bands put in to what they do that really appeals to me. Don't know many Japanese blues guys though. Are there many? Can you recommend some? Thanks for introducing me to Scrapper Balckwell as well. Saw him on your plays.

Buddy Guy & Howlin Wolf are my favorites! I downloaded the albums. Have not tried Memphis Jug Band yet as am too busy to search for samples but I will soon :)

Just got Blues Women Anthology Vol. 1,2 &3, really great, and Buddy Guy Can't Quit the Blues. Need to check out Memphis Jug Band as I do not know that one Hope u R well :)
