You know, I do have it ready. But on second thought, I'm considering not giving it to you till you're done with exams to help you study better :P I know how strong the temptation to read anything other than the books you're supposed to study from can be.

I still don't know as much as millions of die-hard fans just yet though. And you mean Us and Them was in the soundtrack of that movie? Must have been very beautiful if so. I always love it when a song I like comes on the soundtrack of a movie I am watching, especially if it's in a fitting scene. Always makes it sound even better than it already does.

... Money mocks greed and consumerism. Us and them is about conflict. Brain Damage is about mental illness. And finally Eclipse concludes the album by listing everything all people do in their lives and how it's all in tune, but then it shocks you with its last line which is absolutely genius. "... and everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon..." As if to say that it all it said in the song, all it said in the album even, all of this is pointless. Sigh... Anyway, I'll stop ranting now. Three long messages are enough :-)

By the way, you once asked me who "us and them" were and I said I'd tell you later. It's mostly about war and the two sides of it, and how most soldiers didn't choose to be there, but it's rather the leaders, who are safe away from it all, who start it for their own benefit. "Forward he cried from the rear and the front rank died. And the general sat, and the lines on the map moved from side to side." Like they are just "lines" to the him. Think of it from this perspective now and it will all make sense. Makes it sound even more beautiful, doesn't it? The Dark Side of the Moon is Pink Floyd's finest album lyrically I think. The whole album is about the human life. All of it. It's a concept album. Speak to me and Breathe talk about the importance of living one's own life. On the Run talks about the stress and anxiety of modern travel. You know what Time talks about. The Great Gig in the sky is a metaphor for death... [continue above :P]

You mean books, right? I can't remember exactly cause a lot of things I love makes me live in another happy world. Or rather, not always happy, but it's always better than this one. If that's what you mean, I'm glad. I love reading and it's a healthy hobby to have anyway so I'd be quite happy if I've contributed to your picking it up. Nice new avatar, by the way. Think it's from a Floyd "best of" album. I've been meaning to read Animal Farm for a while now, it's a classic. "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others." But the reason I really wanted to read it was because the album the cover of which is my avatar was based on it. Pink Floyd's Animals. I think I've told you that before. Anyway, will read it after I finish Mostly Harmless, which is the 5th and last book in my favourite series ever, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Perhaps you should join the "I actually read books" group, by the way, since you now do :-) It's quite a popular group here.
