Nothing is more evident than that modern capitalism is just as subversive as Marxism. The materialistic view of life on which both systems are based is identical; both of their ideals are qualitatively identical, including the premises connected to a world the centre of which is constituted of technology, science, production, "productivity," and "consumption." And as long as we only talk about economic classes, profit, salaries, and production, and as long as we believe that real human progress is determined by a particular system of distribution of wealth and goods, and that, generally speaking, human progress is measured by the degree of wealth or indigence—then we are not even close to what is essential...

"The heroic asceticism that I envision is that which stands facing life and the world, and which, accepting every risk and every battle, does not hesitate to prefer death to a life and a victory that bear the mark of infamy or of unconditional submission." – Julius Evola, Men Among the Ruins

In modern civilization, everything tends to suffocate the heroic sense of life. Everything is more or less mechanized, spiritually impoverished, and reduced to a prudent and regulated association of needy beings who have lost their self-sufficiency. The contact between man's deep and free powers and the powers of things and nature has been cut off; metropolitan life petrifies everything, syncopates every breath, and contaminates every spiritual "well." As if that weren't enough, faint-hearted ideologies foster contempt for those values that in other times were the foundation of more rational and bright social organizations. In ancient societies, the peak of the hierarchy was occupied by the caste of the warrior aristocracy, whereas today, in the pacifist-humanitarian Utopias (especially in the Anglo-Saxon ones), attempts are made to portray the warrior as some anachronism, and as a dangerous and harmful entity that one day will be conveniently disposed of in the name of progress.

Modern man bears witness to something rather strange, a spiritual chasm has opened, disconnecting man from metaphysical truths. Seduced by material comfort and misguided by apparent limitations of surface-level facts, many find themselves in exile—not only from their communities and traditions but also from their inner selves. This disconnection allows for existential decay, a crumbling of the inner self that should have been the seat of a man's soul and rationality. Even though times seem dark, there is still a chance for more profound understanding for those who are willing to go after it. The one who sets aside the delusions of illusionary progress and critically interrogates contemporary life's assumptions still possesses the opportunity to tap into ancient, eternal wisdom.

One must first align himself with the principles that reflect cosmic order. An inner hierarchy of values must be cultivated. A weak-willed or indecisive mind will not make any progress, an undying commitment to spiritual disciplines is the price of transcending the mundane and anchoring yourself in the eternal.

Greetings, Julius van C. I notice you deleted your comment, which I appreciate, but I also believe you're a jerk. Kendrick Lamar is undoubtedly the superior artist, and if you disagree, we'll have to work out a solution the hard way ;). I aim to do business with you if you can overcome your erroneous notions. Sincere greetings, MrWbolt
