THANK YOU!!!

Along with a bunch of stuff I listened to at work the other day, the new CocoRosie isn't showing up in my charts because my scrobbler is being screwy. BUT GOOD CHRIST IT IS AMAZING! I was 100% into each and every track as it was happening. How is it so good?! I can't wait for them to tour the States to support it! Also, how did you like that Bjork show?! The one I went to in LA (Hollywood Paladium) was insanely awesome, and I thought it was completely worth the hassle of getting out to California for the weekend to see.

The free download of my new album "It Is What It Is" on lastfm does not work! If you are interested in downloading or listening to my new music, please go to my Bandcamp website: http://www.anina.bandcamp.com . Thank you! Kind regards, Anina

Hey, that's great news about graduating! Congratulations!! Also, the winters in Colorado are totally unbearable and awful for my swampy Virginia blood. Everyone I know told me this last one was mild, but I basically froze to death around this time last year. SO CALIFORNIA! (Washington is also on the radar.) Are you looking to stay in the area where you live now, or do you want to go elsewhere (inside or outside California)? I'm shooting for San Franciso-ish, fingers crossed.

I'm trying my best to move all the way out to the west coast. I could be a Californian this time next year!

Hey look, it's The Idler Wheel! What did you think?! I was just about to offer you a link to a .zip file, haha.

I found a locally produced, small-ly packaged organic, vegan Nutella-esque product. Has your mailing address changed since the last time I sent you something? Also I am drunk again.

Why have we never IMed / phone chatted / MSNed / whatever? Jesse I'm drunk.

Happy birthday!

Mama Mia! I saw that some years ago, but I don't recall there being glitter and spandex, which makes me far more envious than I can say. I'm glad you had fun! On the subject of ABBA, there was a guy who worked at the post office I used to frequent named Fernando, and I was always tempted to sing or at least hum that song when he took my packages. I never did because I figured that was obnoxious the way Michael Bolton gets annoyed by the same-name singer in Office Space. Also I have an album I want to send you, but Mediafire is being such a slowpoke that it might take me a while to get it up there.

And also did you see that Garbage is touring? I'm thinking trying to see them in Denver, but it's a couple days either before or after another show I'm seeing, and I don't know about going out that frequently during the school week because I'm 87 years old all of a sudden.

Did you hear/see that Fiona is kind of touring?! My friend is speculating that this will be a warm-up tour for the real deal after her album comes out this year, and I'm so excited! I saw her in 2006, and she did not disappoint.

I tried to creep your library pretty thoroughly before deciding, but one thing I didn't see any of was Cat Power, who I have recently rediscovered. Try the albums You Are Free or The Greatest (which is not a greatest hits album). Also, this really nostalgia-inducing album by this now-deceased Hawai'ian guy named Israel Kamakawiwo'ole; the album is called Facing Future. And I checked your Tori Amos plays, and you appear to be missing one of my favorites, To Venus And Back, which is two discs of pure brilliance. I'd recommend the live one (second disc) before the studio, but I think the studio cuts from that one are waaaay underrated. Last, yeah, there's a recipe for "notella" in the back of my copy of the granddaddy of all vegan cookbooks, Veganomicon! I haven't made it yet, but when I do, you'll be the first to know. :D

Okay, I came up with some recommendations for you! Do you want links, or just names?

Also, in the way of musical recommendations, let me think about that a little longer; I'll send you some linkz whenever I come to some a sensible answer. :]

Hey, there's no judgment here about the Britney! I have recently decided that I don't believe in guilty pleasures in the sense that if something gives you pleasure, why would you feel guilty about it? Britney included. Not too long ago I was thinking about how my cousin saw her live in, like, 1998 and how cool it is that she saw her before she was crazy and stuff. Also, that's great news about school! I actually have a friend here at school who went to Humboldt State. Colorado is pretty okay except that I still haven't found a job (kill me) and that there is definitely a foot a half of snow on the ground right now. It's still coming down, too. A few weeks ago, four people died in avalanches. Fucking avalanches. It's really beautiful out here, but I'm not planning to stay after I finish school. My friend and I are shooting to move out west, very possibly California, so maybe we'll have a beer together someday!

I'm not going to Coachella after all, as this lineup is about as wack as it could have been (in my opinion, anyway). But how are you doing lately?!

also fuck this non-HTML url linking thing, sorry, I tried. :p

If [url="http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a7/sugarvomit/music/out.png"]this is accurate, is there a chance you'll do Coachella this year? If I get this job I'm interviewing for later this morning, I'll definitely be there.

Thanks so much! This photo is of me and my late rat, Rex, who I had to have put down a year ago this month. He's also tattooed on my leg!

I think I like it too, although I'm not 100% sure that the version I have is the final cut. I'm still sort of in awe of the fact that there's a good chance my Big Three all released albums I like in 2011. That has never happened! Speaking of which, how did you find the new Tori Amos? I can't find anything negative to say about it, and I can't wait to see the new stuff live!!

How do you like the new Björk?

We're the best kind of music nerds ;)

Super! (:

Thanks

JESSE I'M TWATTING AGAIN! Which sounds sort of dirty, but you know what I mean! http://twitter.com/#!/crminallyvulgar

Ch-ching!

I actually haven't seen it; thanks! I'm pretty awful about keeping up with things like that, mostly because I get so complacent with artists' albums. :p

Dry is actually one of my favorite albums of all time. I was actually responding to the person asking for suggestions. :)

That totally would have made my day too! I am so obsessed with her right now.

Also, did you make it to Coachella?

Hey, no shame! I kind of rediscovered Aqua.

Happy birthdaaaaaay!

Nice to know, thanks:)

I never properly thanked you for the Bloodgroup, which is uh-mazing! I love everything about it, including how it sounds thumpin' in my car while I terrorize the suburbs.

hells yeah

Haha, I do like variety. And thank you!

lil drunk and ummmmmmmmm: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Jesse-Palmer/112162725466218

i've been listening to a tarantino-only playlist the past two days, mixed in a bit of buffy's musical episode tonight ;D

ABBA!!

I completely agree, and I am stone cold sober! I saw Mama Mia live this one time, and it was the best thing I did that year. Have you seen Muriel's Wedding? That has a lot of awesome ABBA songs and scenes in it.

HELLA lovely, even. :p

Did you get the new PJ Harvey album today?! I think the album art is really lovely.

I'm so glad you enjoyed Gravy Train!!!! Why you always gotta be hella flashin' on me, girl?

HI, I found you on Björk's page, maybe you like my songs, too? I'd be very happy if you gave them a listen! Thank you =) Love, Anina Free download on last.fm: www.last.fm/music/Anina/Turbulence

Have you ever listened to Gravy Train!!!! ? Also, your default is composed of three parts of my favourite Bjork image, if I haven't already told you that. Are you the crafty type? I have this M.I.A. t-shirt cutout from the first time I saw her live touring for Kala, and it's insanely shiney and fun I will definitely mail it to you if you think you'll put it on a hoodie or shirt or car or something. Let me know if you want a photo and I'll send it on ova! Also, drunk. Wednesday.

Is there any chance you're thinking of going to Coachella this year? Robyn and our co-girlfriend, PEEJ, are playing. I'm going to really seriously try to make the trip again, but I'm still working on details.

Quiet Fireworks is a bootleg by Björk, I found it in a record store and it's really good.
