mhmmmm. i don't know if you prefer to jump right into the good shit or build up to it, but Halcyon Digest is my 2nd favorite shoegaze album of all time, right under Loveless. If you prefer to start out with their earlier stuff, Microcastle or Cryptograms would be good albums to check out.

thanks for telling me about planning for burial.... i've been listening to them nonstop and it's incredible. i'd never even heard of them before. i really really really want to see them when they come to carabar but as for right now i'm planning on heading up to cleveland for mac demarco that day. speaking of him, are you into deerhunter much? as far as shoegaze goes, they're definitely in my top three. reason i connect the two is because someone once told me mac was like a less abrasive deerhunter and at first when i heard that i was pretty offended haha. but if you listen it totally makes sense.
