did you ever have the idea that in rainbows is about getting old/the stages of life? i thought of that the other day, and it makes sense...

there are several things i love about kid a. one is that the tracks are almost gibberish until they're heard in sequence. they almost all have a totally unique sound to them (ambient, jazz, electronic, etc etc). plus, really all of the building blocks of kid a are unique to radiohead. the fact that they pulled out brand new sounds for so many facets of telling the same story is remarkable.

dang, you're good. kid a is my favorite. 2nd place i consider a tricky tie between amnesiac, in rainbows, and ok computer. in rainbows isn't as intricate, amnesiac doesn't have a central development or theme that i identify, and ok computer is well-rounded but the only track on it that just jumps out at me as being genius is paranoid android. of course i like all their albums (cept pablo honey)
