2014 year in review if you're interested. Also liking for King & Country at the moment (in addition to everything else you listen to :P), have listened to other stuff besides "Fix My Eyes" and "Shoulders"? http://www.last.fm/user/kalsonberry/journal/2015/01/29/6ejnba_music_year_in_review_2014

Okay, well they're both great! Um. I own Mumford & Sons album. Their great! I didn't know you liked them too. Have you seen them in concert?

Haha, that must've been embarrassing, you're lucky they let you in after you finished your food. My cousin's friend did that and she had to wait in line. Most people did sit during an upbeat concert - what crap.

I loved your blog. You didn't know you can't take food inside a concert!? I had to laugh about that, and there were people sitting during a OneRepublic concert!? There shouldn't be a reason to be sitting during a concert . . . Were they old haha? So what was your favorite song of the night!? I would've loved to hear "Secrets," "If I Lose Myself," "Burning Bridges" and "I Lived."

Alright, I've been listening to it some more & it's definitely been growing on me. I think I was just overwhelmed with how different it is from precious work that I failed to see all the good. Does that make sense? Then there's the fact I said what I did after having only listened to it through my computer speakers...sooo that wasn't fair anyway. I have a feeling I'm going to have the whole thong on repeat now. Haha

I love Love Alone Is Worth The Fight! Do you like the new EP? Your shoutbox is having quite the Switchfoot discussion, haha :P

So, how do you feel about the EP as a whole? I think it's obviously great (they never release anything that isn't). But the overall sound is quite different and I'm not digging it all that much. I mean, I don't know. It feels more overproduced than that raw quality they usually have. And I know it's not all about the lyrics, but I always find Jon's lyrics to resonate with me 100% no matter the song style...not so much this time around (aside from Back to the Beginning & Love Alone is Worth the Fight). Have you heard "Fading West" the song? It's not on this EP, but I prefer it to the others on the EP. In fact, it turns out I also prefer the live audio to the final studio recording of "Love Alone is Worth the Fight." Aaaanyway. Just want to hear your thoughts. I've never really been disappointed by them til now...though I technically have no reason to be cause it's still top-notch.

Yes! It's fantastic, especially the fact it's their kids singing with them. I'm assuming you read this already, but it's worth reading again: "Despite the negative criticism the acoustic version of this song (played by the guys during a record label show) has evoked in some fans, I find that this song has a joyfulness that is undeniable. Perhaps it’s because I’m linking it to the scene in the Fading West movie where they are recording this song. Jon sits cross-legged on the floor of the studio; Tim, Chad and Drew’s children, standing in a semi-circle around him, singing along to his direction. Chad and Drew are beaming; Tim is dancing with his daughter. Coupled with that scene, this song takes on a deeper message. It feels like the guys are not only reminding themselves of their past, but are trying to encourage the future generations to not settle, to not listen to the naysayers, to fight for what you believe in, no matter the pain and struggle. The song is a passing on of a purpose."

hmmm yeah, I can see why that'd be the case. I actually saw it the first time they performed it at the end of the fall tour & it made me tear up. I just wanted to video tape like 30 seconds of Jon talking to remember how close I was, but then he said they were going to play new song sooo I kept recording hahah. Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74lcnl3Y4qU I'm really looking forward to the studio recording of it.

Yeah, I adore Love Alone is Worth the Fight. I listen to it all the time. I am veryyy excited to hear the studio version. It's funny cause I totally forget it's live when I listen to it. And after watching only like three seconds of Who We Are..I decided to wait for the EP instead.

Ummm, hard question, but a small list. "Mercy," "Come Home," All The Right Moves," "Good Life," If I Lose Myself" and "Burning Bridges!" Love it! Did you see OneRepublic (Ryan Tedder) sing on TheVoice!?
