Well obviously considering I have 600 plays which I don't know how I got - just quietly. When i scrobble plays from my ipod sometimes it says a song has been played like 50 times when I may have listened to it like two or three times since I last scrobbled my ipod plays. Why do you dislike them? What album did you listen to?

aw, that sounds awesome!! i go to a fair few concerts. other than that i have headphones attached to my head until i get into bed, where i put my iPod on a dock and listen to it through speakers until i fall asleep. i play the drums a lot though. i play on average about 5 hours a week. sometimes a lot more. depends on what im doing. hahaha. whats your favourite concert you ever went to?

the gig at the Youthie is on the 20th of this month. its $5 at the door. there is only dodgey movies on at the cinema at the moment. when something good comes out we'll have to go there. i hope year 11 is good and isn't too much work. i'll die in year 12 haha. i'll struggle quite a lot i reckon. oh at the Youthie, we decided we're going to play the song 'Little Sister' by Queens Of The Stone Age and have Jacobs' brother play lead guitar in it. he is such a good guitarist. we decided to have him as a guest performer. hopefully it all works well!

If people analysed everything rather than taste only, then pop music wouldnt hold up to intelegent criticism, and the world would be full of awesome music, wouldnt that be good? i dont know about you, but i think that would be awesome

Taste is completely meaningless when it comes to interpretation of any medium of art, because you cant discuss taste with anyone, at least not in any intelegent way haha, by criticaly analysing everything, and actualy having a reason for liking what you do, you can have discussions with people and defend what you like, and attack what you dont like. Its a good way to determine how intelegent the people you are talking to are. If you present an argument against a certain band or artist, and the only reply you get is "oh, thats just your opinion" its not a particularly intelegent responce, but if they have actualy put thought into the intrinsic values behind what they listen to, then they can present a counter argument, and possibly even encourage you to like the artist also. If everyone approuched music based on "taste" (which they do haha) then the world would be full of shitty shallow and face value only pop music (which it is).
