I haven't finished it get but I've been sampling the Summer Is Icumen tracks and a Steve Von Til track. There's as Neurosis sampled track (bells from Stones from the Sky) I haven't worked out yet. I'm going for a paganish sort of vibe. I'll post when I'm sort of finished

Hey, they're amazing. I got my family cat Mitsy who is a 16 year old tortoiseshell. She has the best temperament. So decided to get two more. Treacle and Truffle. Little hell raisers who have their own quirky personalities. Tortoiseshells are really vocal too, it's like they try and talk to you and will respond if you talk to them. Treace is friendlier, whereas Truffle (the darker kitten) takes a little longer to come out of her shell, but acts a lot more sassier.

Yo, I was just thinking about this again last night. Worried a lot of my favourite rappers and producers are going to get flagged for samples. Was even debating uploading my own music to Spotify but won't bother now. I remember back when I was twitter Lil B inboxed me for beats (mental I know - didn't respond too scared of rejection lol) so he must do stuff with producers and get approval on artists original beats too

Right back at you - I love OPN. R Plus 7 was my go to reading album when I would get on a train. I remember sampling one of his tracks from Garden of Delete (it was a piano version of Animals that he posted to Youtube) and put an acapella of Get Low by Lil Jon & The Eastside boys to it haha!

I love it. It's one of those albums that really changed my taste after a while. I'd end up searching for songs and sound similar and went back and listened to all the old jazz, blues and folk that influenced it. What's your favourite thing about it

It was quite difficult to recommend you something because every time I checked, you already knew the artist or had listened to the album I had in mind for you. Try with Rainer Veil's "New Brutalism". Let me know if you enjoy it! I had that album on a loop for a while. If you're up for something more obscure, Natural Snow Buildings is for you. I'm still mesmerized by "The Winter Ray".

of course, huge Celer fan :) i don't think it's satire, just an artist expanding outside of their traditional sonic palette. not a huge fan of his Long Trax series but Acid Trax from 2024 has some incredible hypnotic sounds on it. as for Warmth, i recommend exploring beyond Parallel. i think that's when he finally comes into full form (post-2018).

Weirdly I was working on some stuff for 2 bandcamp compilations, one of completed tracks and another of shorter unfinished tracks (I'm just editing them to 80/160bpm) and I'm going to make a long form mix of 30-60 second mixes, a little like how the new Skillex album is presented

Hoops for me! That whole album is a psychedelic masterpiece. During summer times I always look out for electronic tracks that sample 60's psychedelic pop (especially the harmonised vocals) and play them a lot!

Sit down for a history lesson: I had an account when I was 18, but restarted it when I was about 21. back in the day, the old ipod classics used to scrobble songs 2 or 3 times and it messed with stats. You had to plug the ipod into the computer and scrobble it manually. Had to illegally download music via blogspot links, risking my computer with viruses on dodgy links, then extract them with WinZip. Some albums would leak weeks before but have tracks missing. I remember having Crack The Skye by Mastodon with the last track missing (the best track imo) and I went to the gig with only hearing it a few times
