I just finished listening to the new Mac DeMarco. First thought that comes to mind is that it sounds a lot "sparser" than his old stuff, and I mean that as a compliment! I'm impressed, it sounds really fresh.

Hi Luke! Hope everything's well! I was wondering if you know about a game called Firewatch. It's set in the late 80s, and it's about a guy from Boulder who gets a summer job as a fire lookout at a park in Wyoming to escape his personal issues. Really really nice game. The James Iha news were crazy as well. Just watching videos of 3 of the 4 original members onstage almost made me shed tears of joy. They were just so happy. I was hoping that James would join them for the rest of the tour but alas, it seems I'm too naive. :P At least it seems that Billy has finally buried the hatchet. I wonder how D'Arcy has reacted/will react to all of this. She probably won't care one bit, haha.

Hey man. I've been doing well, hope everything's fine over there as well! I didn't like the new Wild Nothing that much, but I think it's a grower. Reichpop is such an awesome song. Yeah the SP leaks have been crazy! Pity they stopped a few weeks ago. The Tracer is one of the best of the batch. Really wish we could have all the Pastichio Medley songs one day. But I admit that part of the fun is knowing that there are still more out there. Did you also get to hear the leaked Machina outtakes?

Yeah, MCIS just fits in perfectly with the autumn. I always end up revisiting it every year as well. Adore's another one. Yeah if Jimmy sticked around it would be awesome, I think his drums make up a lot of the "classic SP sound". I miss the old band too. I don't know, I just find everything Billy releases now just sounds uninspired. It doesn't sound like he puts any feeling into it whatsoever. I was excited for the Machina reissue but it seems to have been delayed because of legal issues. Meh. On another note, I bought tickets for Lower Dens in November! Woohoo!

New Neon Indian is pretty awesome, right? I miss all that chillwave/lo-fi aesthetic from 2009-2010. They seem like one of the few bands that still do it right without sounding boring or generic. Man, Tame Impala was AWESOME! But I'm definitely too old to camp for more than 4 days straight, haha. Really wanna do something with the rest of my holidays but I'm spending my days basically sleeping at home, haha. How's everything going?

Oh man, that song. I couldn't believe it when I heard the chorus, haha. It does sound eerily similar. I don't have any big plans for the summer either, apart from the Paredes de Coura festival (Tame Impala+The War on Drugs+Pond+Slowdive+Waxahatchee). You've seen Tame Impala live, right? I'm really looking forward to their show. Also I went camping this weekend and apart from my car breaking down on the way there and getting sunburnt it went really well, hahaha.

Ah yes, you can tell Kevin Parker is obsessed with how his albums sound. I can blast Currents on my car with virtually no distortion, hahaha. It always sounds crystal clear even in MP3. That's awesome that you started teaching! My sister also teaches at a university here. It's a lot of responsibility, but still rewarding.

Nice to know from you! Well, life changed a lot since our last talk, where did I stoped? I'll do a quick update. I moved from Jundiaí to São Paulo, I live now with my boyfriend (we're together for about 3 years) and we'd got 3 cats hahaha. I would like to have a dog too, but the apartment is not that big and we have no time to do walks and stuff. As cats are more independent, we are handling it well. What more can I say? I'm on 2nd year at college, I'm coursing Advertising and working as social media analyst. This last sunday I realized a dream, went to Smashing Pumpkins concert. It was awesome and I forgive Billy for his ego. His voice still the same and I just realized how much i like him, his voice and music. I realized too that i'm SO out of music. Not discovering any album or band. So, at the concert, he sung "Pale Horse", I didn't even knew it existed, do you? It's from Oceania, that I barely know and loved the song, Can't stop hearing!

Their album sounded like something you'd really like. But it looks like you already know about them, haha. Haha yeah I'm a soon to be computer engineer. This is just an internship so it's fine, really. Unemployment is a big problem here but luckily this field is still kind of surviving, haha. Man, working 12 hours per day is harsh. I've been working about half of that. You do deserve a vacation!
