Have you heard the band Sunset Rubdown? It started as a solo project of Spencer Krug (Wolf Parade) but is a full band now I think. Sounds a lot like Wolf Parade, only a little stranger.

Thanks for the Melt-Banana recommendation! I like Cell-Scape, and listened to some older stuff as well: Charlie and a live album called 13,000...um, actually i forget the name. Their new album Bambi's Dilemma is probably my favorite though. Still very heavy, but with more punk, pop, riot-grrl, electronic, psychedelic, etc. influences. The first six tracks on the album are so great! :)

Hello again! I'd heard the Polyphonic Spree album before, but I did give it another listen. I like a lot of it, but some songs just seem to be trying too hard to be uplifting for my tastes. Maybe I'm just a grump! :P
